Kicking back in New England –
I ordered this set for my 6 and 7 year old niece and nephew. Both love playing with Legos, so I am sure they will enjoy making this Christmas tree. The set comes in a really nice box – colorful and sturdy. Inside, you’ll find a 75 page full-color book of instructions, and several bags of parts. The large bags are labeled 1 and 2, and I opened them to show the specific contents of each. There are two white bases and hundreds of fun, Christmas color pieces.
One of the nice things about the step-by-step instructions is how they show what has already been put together (shown in light gray), vs. what you are currently working on and where it goes (full color). I find this very helpful, especially when there are so many parts. I did sneak a few pieces out of one of the bags and they go together well with no issues. To me, they pieces look like a match to other building sets the kids have, but I will update my review if the pieces aren’t interchangeable.
This is a great stand alone set and is sure to be a fun activity for the family over the Christmas holiday!
