We have always done the traditional gingerbread house decorating but this was a nice, no mess, change. It took her about a week to build. She’s pretty proficient with lego building and there were a few complicated assembly parts regarding the roof that she needed parent assistance on. She’s 12. It was a nice bonus that the house came with some fairy lights to enjoy it at night all lit up. Overall nice product.

Unfortunately my family is addicted to Lego and I ordered from the picture not looking at the brand. My son said the instructions were horrible.. He said this was the IKEA level of legos. Looks pretty but took several days with much frustration.

Kit states 6+ yet took a very Lego experienced 11 year old a good 8 hours total to complete. Thankfully she is very patient and has tiny fingers for the very tiny pieces. Was missing two tiny pieces but not critical spots. It is cute and will store for another holiday with no intention of ever dismantling.

This was impossible to put together. Nothing fit together well enough to stay together. Spend the money and buy a Lego brand. They are so much better of a product. I nearly lost my mind with this thing. Finally decided to scrap it.

I am a 68 year old kid. I have a lot of patience and enjoy the Lego “craft.” I have no grandchildren. But I think this could be a fun activity for a parent to help a child complete. I’ve saved it for next Christmas. We’ll see how it makes it through storage.
