Fun and kid-approved! As a parent, I don’t really care for the flashing mode or the glowing red eyes (our special needs son just holds then to his own eyes) but it was on for HOURS before needing charged with a USB-C, which we have a bunch of throughout the house, and the boys LOVED that it roars!

Great little product ! Was very easy to put together, packaged neatly and comes with a little screw driver to open the battery compartment with . It takes 3AAA batteries ( not included) and very easy to open and install. The price was good , the color is a nice rich green , well designed and the item is very easy to use. It comes with instructions but there weren’t any complications , so they weren’t necessary. The head lamp has a feature that plays sound of a dinosaur roar that can be turned on or off The product feels sturdy and well made , so no issues with breaking or losing parts and is adjustable to fit comfortably and snugly enough. I do wish it had a padding on the back where the battery compartment attaches , just because I’m feeling like a certain material placed there would be a great idea but anything could be placed there if anyone desires to go that far lol. All in all, it’s a fun little toy and the light provides adequate visibility . I actually got this for my grown daughter as more of a novelty gift lol but it’s great for kids of any age , really.

The Dinosaur Headlamp for Kids has a playful, kid-friendly design — the T-Rex style with light-up eyes/mouth and “roar” or silent mode makes it fun and engaging for children. It’s lightweight, wearable, and adjustable, which helps it fit comfortably for ages roughly 3–8. As a headlamp, it works well for bedtime stories, indoor play, light camping or as a cute gift (Easter, birthdays, etc.). However, its light output is likely modest — more suitable for play than for serious outdoor use or hiking. And because it seems more like a toy than rugged gear, its durability and weather resistance may be limited if used roughly or outdoors.

Bought this dino headlamp on a whim for my kid, and it has turned into the most-used “toy” in the house. The dinosaur head is adorable but also surprisingly sturdy, and the light is bright enough for bedtime reading, camping, and hunting for “fossils” in the backyard.
The adjustable strap actually fits well and stays put, even on a very active 5‑year‑old who loves to run and jump with it on. The buttons are easy enough for small hands to use on their own, and the different light modes keep things fun without being confusing.
Battery life has been better than expected; we’ve had several evenings of play and a weekend camping trip before needing to recharge/replace batteries. The roar sound is a huge hit with the kids, though parents may appreciate that it can be turned off when you’ve heard enough T‑Rex for the day. Overall, it’s a fun, practical little gadget that makes a great gift and actually gets used.

Ordered the two pack. Does not work at all, charging cord works, and blue light indicates the device is charging however, it does not actually turn on.

Awesome lighting and sound effects. Dinosaur head doesn’t seem to be very sturdy and it was hard to get it on the headband clip.

As a dad (and occasional dinosaur nerd), I was eager to try this with my little one. Here’s how it fared:
🔍 What I liked 1. Fun, engaging design The T-rex dinosaur look is a big win. Kids light up (literally) when they see the “mouth” and “eyes” lighting up, and the roar mode is a fun touch that gets their imagination going. 2. Multiple modes It comes with 2 modes: silent and roar mode. 3. Adjustable and comfy The headband is adjustable (and removable/washable), which is great as my kiddo’s head grows. It’s also pretty light (about 150 g / 5.29 oz claimed) so it doesn’t feel like a brick strapped to their forehead. 4. Good angle of illumination The headlamp can pivot 180°, letting you point the light up or down to better suit the environment. 5. Cool gift idea It’s more than just a light — it’s a toy + tool combo that works beautifully for camping, trick-or-treating, reading under covers, or exploring dark corners. Nitigo even markets it as a gift for kids 3+ years old.
⚠️ Areas for improvement / what to watch out for 1. Requires batteries The unit doesn’t include batteries. You’ll need 3 AAA batteries (not included) to get it going. If you don’t already have spares, that’s an extra cost/time. 2. Water resistance unclear / likely low The product spec doesn’t clearly list any water resistance. So it’s probably not ideal for heavy rain or deep moisture. Use caution in wet conditions. 3. Durability over time With kids, rough use is a given. The plastic parts, switch, and sound mechanism might be fragile in extreme conditions. I haven’t had it long enough to see long-term wear, but I’d suggest being gentle and storing it well. 4. Brightness limits The LED is decent for close range (inside tents, rooms, paths) but it won’t compete with high-end adult headlamps over long distances. If your kid wants to “light the forest,” don’t expect miracles. 5. Sound mode may annoy adults The roar mode is fun, but for extended use (bedtime, cabin, indoors) you’ll likely want to put it into silent mode. The sound can get repetitive.
⸻
🎯 Final verdict
If you’re looking for a fun, functional headlamp for a kid (or playful adult), this is a solid pick. The dinosaur gimmick isn’t just a gimmick — it adds real enjoyment without compromising basic performance. It’s not perfect, but for the price and fun factor, I’d buy it again or recommend it (especially for younger users).

I bought this dinosaur headlamp as a gift, and it was an instant hit. The T-Rex design is really fun, and kids love the roaring effect—it makes wearing it exciting instead of feeling like a regular flashlight.
The light is bright enough for camping, reading at night, or playing in the backyard. I like that it has different modes, including a silent option, which is great for quieter activities or bedtime use. The headband is adjustable and fits comfortably without feeling too tight.
It feels well made and sturdy, especially for a kids’ product. Battery life has been good so far, and it’s easy for kids to turn on and off by themselves.
Overall, this is a great gift for dinosaur lovers and a fun way to make outdoor or nighttime activities more enjoyable. I would definitely buy it again.
