Love this sunscreen. As a woman of color, I can atest that this leaves no white cast or tint. As a person with seriously sensitive skin, I can say it does not interact poorly with any other products I have used, nor does it irritate my skin. Overall good product for the money.

i think buyers should definitely be aware that this is NOT the usual korean formula, this is stated to be U.S. exclusive on the tube! some differences i noticed were that the korean formula smells a bit of yogurt while this has a more typical sunscreen smell, and it feels just slightly more heavy on the face, but not unbearably so. i still find that it left no white cast, blended in nicely, and did not pill! i think it’s a good alternative for those who cannot access the original korean formula.

I’m that one girl who reads every single review before buying a product—always searching for that one perfect review to be sure it’ll suit my skin. So, for all the girls out there like me, here’s mine.
My skin texture changes with the seasons—sometimes it’s normal, sometimes oily, and when I use acne-control creams, it can even turn dry. But this sunscreen worked beautifully through all those phases. Whether my skin was dry, normal, or oily, the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen blended effortlessly, never felt greasy, and didn’t leave a white cast. It even sits perfectly under makeup. I’ve tried many brands before, but since using this, I haven’t looked back. It truly is the best!

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I have tried so many different sunscreen brands, spent so much money trying to find one that worked for me. I’ve been let down by every overpriced, overhyped sunscreen that I’ve tried. But, this one is the ONE! I’m so happy to have found an affordable sunscreen that sits so beautifully on my skin. It goes on so smooth, silky, no white cast, and doesn’t pill! Leaves no streaks, and doesn’t sit on the top of my skin looking greasy, and gross. This one actually seems to absorb, is so moisturizing, and looks, and feels amazing all day long. Best sunscreen literally ever. Buy it now!

This sunscreen feels really light on the skin — not greasy at all, and it doesn’t leave a white cast. Great for daily use, especially if you have sensitive or combo skin. 🌿🧴
I gave it 4⭐️ because it doesn’t last super long on hot days, so I have to reapply often. But overall, it’s gentle, soothing, and layers well under makeup.
Still one of the better sunscreens I’ve tried!

I grew up despising sunscreen because of how it felt on the skin, but I’ve become something of a fanatic in the last few years. I’ve tried dozens upon dozens, possibly reaching into the hundreds, and my favorites tend to be from Korean and Japanese brands. The original Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun has become a staple for me due to its protection (SPF 50, PA++++), wearability (lightweight, comfortable, doesn’t sting my eyes), finish (slightly dewy), and price point (under $15, sometimes under $10). I was excited to try this version made for the North American market.
I hemmed and hawed a little in determining how to rate this. Compared to the original, it’s not quite as good. It’s a little heavier, a little shinier, doesn’t offer quite as much protection, and costs a few dollars more. However, a lot of that is due not to the product itself, but to FDA regulations that limit US consumers’ access to the best and newest sunscreen filters; the US hasn’t had a new filter approved in literally decades, while European and Asian brands continue to innovate.
With that in consideration, this product is still leaps and bounds better than 95% of American sunscreens I’ve tried. It dries down fairly well, not too sticky or greasy, although I can still feel it if I touch my face (which is true for most sunscreens, even those from overseas). It leaves a bit of shine but not anything egregious even on my oily skin; it makes me look glowy rather than oilier, and has no white cast. A matte finish would be preferred for me, but most US sunscreens make me go full disco ball so I’ll take what I can get. It didn’t run into my sensitive eyes, although I haven’t worn it directly on my eyelids yet, nor have I tried it under makeup.
Overall I would say that this is a really good product by US standards, and definitely worth trying if you live in North America. If you buy exclusively overseas brands it might not be your absolute favorite, but if you’re used to what we normally get in the States, I think you’ll love it.

🌞 Perfect for daily use – Lightweight, hydrating, and non-irritating

wanted something as close as the Round Lab korean version sunscreen ever since the US banned them. texture is light. very little on the greasy side compared to the korean version where it dries like moisturizer, this dries like american sunscreen. does transfer a little tackiness/ grease on fingers. leaves face shiny depending on how much you put on face. very very light sunscreen smell. it’s good for the US version of a korean sunscreen but nothing beats the original.
