when I received the two coats one red and other green, the fur on both coats were totally different from one another and different from the picture advertised. Not only was it small and sort of like a little rug but it was a different color all together. The hood also has no padding to keep the head warm, but I kept it anyway. I just purchased them 2 weeks ago and now the snaps on the front of the coat have broken on the Red coat. My grandson has 2 of 6 snaps left. the pocket is hanging off the front from him trying to warm his hands from the cold. The Green coats lining is unraveling in 2 spots and the leaves have strings hanging. This jacket is poorly made and I would not suggest purchase of this coat for 8 year old boys. I expect a full refund.

The hood covers the complete head & has faux fur surrounding it for additional warmth. The advertisement shows a hood with a distinctly better quality of hood fur than the coat actually has. The perceived fur quality was 1 of the reasons I chose this coat, so that was a disappointment. The fur isn’t bad, it just doesn’t look fluffed out & soft like the photo. The coat has many other great qualities, like the multiple pockets , the longer length & the ribbed cuffs, that overshadow the fur issue. I purchased a size 6-7, which is 1 size larger than my grandson wears ( he almost wears a 6). The coat fits nicely with room to grow , we just have to slightly roll up the ribbed area of the wrist cuffs. The coat comes in other great colors & its a must have for cold winter weather.

Here is the thing, first I bought a size 6/7 WAY TO BIG for my kid. No worries, returned and sized down. No issues. I got the size 5/6 next. The quality difference is huge.
The 6/7 seemed fine when we got it which is why I went and got the other size but since comparing the 2 the size 6/7 is a lot thinner and flimsy. Zippers were great, made out of metal
5/6 is thicker (still thin), heavier I a good way and fur/fuzz Lineing the inside!!! 6/7 did not have that!! Zipper on 5/6 is made out of plastic, gets stuck very easily As well as both jackets seemed to be made out of different materials.
Just a heads up if I got the quality and material of 5/6 size I would buy every size for my kids.
