  • It’s the world’s smallest bike rack! The CLUG has been designed to hold your bike securely by the tire without damaging your sidewalls or putting too much pressure on the rims. Store your bike neatly with the tiny bike rack that works with your floor.
  • Clug your bike vertically or horizontally, with all necessary hardware included. The Roadie and Hybrid come with anchors for mounting into drywall. MTB, MTB XL, and XXL PLUS need to be mounted into studs, brick, concrete, etc. Not a hanging bicycle rack.
  • Available in five sizes to fit most bikes. Size ranges are based on tire width. Make sure to order the correct size for your tires. If the CLUG is too big, your bike may slip out of it. Too small, and your bike won’t fit.
  • Drill holes if mounting the CLUG on anything other than a wood surface or a stud in the wall. Just affix the template guide to the wall with tape and drill right through the guide. Insert the included anchors into the holes, and you’re ready to roll.
  • Organizes space and increasea usable floor area with this minimal profile storage system. Great for all kinds of living arrangements, from studio apartments to duplexes, and even freestanding single family homes! Anywhere space is a a premium.

Super simple to install, just 2 screws (there’s even a template for positioning, but we just used the bracket itself for placement). We mounted it on a stud in the tool shed so our son’s mountain bike could be stored vertically and save us some space. We put it up yesterday and so far so good.

Two things to note: the clip doesn’t bear weight (which I knew from the product description, but it doesn’t hurt to repeat), so don’t expect it to get your bike up off the floor. The rear tire will be bearing the weight of the bike. The other thing – and this I didn’t know until I tried putting the front tire of the bike on the clip – is that the whole process works best if you immobilize the front tire to the frame first so the handle bars/front part of the bike aren’t pivoting as you’re trying to put it in place. I was maneuvering in a small, enclosed space, so that may not be necessary for everyone. I used a velcro loop strap that we already had on hand.

So it’s been almost a year since I bought it. I was so scared to put it up in my new home and really frustrasted of all the hanging curtains, pictures, and shelves I had already done. I put it on my wall last weekend and it was extremely easy to do. Please make sure to use a stud finder and use the screw anchors that come with it!! You must make the holes bigger for both the screws and anchors. I was waiting to hear a crash made by my bike, but it hasn’t fallen. I have no garage so I have to store in my laundry room. Really good product and I would recommend it.

I have two CLUGs… a “MTB 44-57mm” for my bike with 2.1″W tires and a “MTB XL 58-69mm” for my 2.6″W tires. CLUGs make storage a breeze! Sooo much floor space saved!! And honestly it’s super attractive storage – I enjoy seeing the bikes there. Snapping the front tires in place and popping them out is super easy. I did listen to the reviews that said not to place CLUGs in a high traffic area, because the bike can get knocked askew. This is true – but I wouldn’t want it to lock onto my bike so hard that damage is caused if I then crash into the bike while walking or carrying something! The CLUGs work perfect in the corner of my room. They also mount very securely to the wall. Would’ve been a breeze to mount with two people… someone to hold the guide in place. Unfortunately I didn’t have help, but it was still manageable. The box comes with an AWESOME guide built right in to help you place your screws into the right spot. I can’t imagine not having CLUGs now that I’ve experienced them! It’s such simple storage!! Gives bikes their own space without bumping against anything or tipping and getting damaged. Also, the upright storage position is good for suspension in the forks… GearHooks says it well here: “If the bike is stored vertically on the wall, the forks are tilted backwards. This means that the oil in the forks runs backwards and pools against the foam seals. This keeps the seals properly lubricated and stops them drying out.” All in all these CLUGs are one of my favorite purchases ever!

I just put this up so I cannot comment on the tire deflation aspect other than if it does I plan to attach a Velcro strap, BUT I can say this was my best option for functional and visible storage for my bike in my new apartment. I purchased the smallest MTB sized Clug (43-62mm) as my bike has tires that were 2.2 which was the max but still within the size range I thought. This thing is S.N.U.G on my tire, It makes a really squeaky noise and looks like I’m going to break the plastic each time I have put it in. I am considering going tubeless in the future, and if I do, I will probably purchase the larger size to at least see if the attach/release aspect is smoother. I put a little bit of water on the “gripper” aspect the last few times I put the bike in the rack, and it seemed to go easier? If I had to purchase again, I would go the next size up. I use my bike often for single track and some city transportation, so I would not be surprised if I break it over time simply because it is THAT snug on my tires and I am frequently removing and re-attaching my bike. I did customize my Clug with some matte black spray paint on the “clipper” part prior to installation, and I think it blends into my tire nicely, or you could paint it an accent color. since the tire never touches the “clipper” part, I have no worries that it might come off on my tire or chip away as long as I am using the bike rack correctly. I understand where this bike rack might not be best for everyone, BUT for my situation it is WONDERFUL. I would be careful if mounting in drywall alone, as the paper instructions explicitly stated that it should only be used on studs or in brick/concrete so I am not sure if that is just for the MTB versions or all of them. You really do have to pull forcefully to get your bike out, and I would worry about ripping it clean out if mounted on drywall alone, at least in my situation. I took off one star because its REALLLLLLY snug, and I wish that sizing guide had been clearer for those of us with 2.2 tires.
