Very disappointed with this feeder . Wish I had bought the birdfy feeder. This feeder leaks . Could not keep the liquid from leaking out. And when I contacted the company they were little and no help.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
having so much fun with Richbird hummingbird camera feeder! I chose this because I thought it was compatible with the birdbuddy camera seed feeder that I have, but it’s not. Also, I thought the solar panel could be mounted on the feeder itself or hung on a shepherds hook. But, no bracket provided for that. My husband mounted it to the house, which I was hoping to avoid. Getting the feeder setup and working went ok. You must use the directions provided online. Motion activates the video. So, you get many videos with no birds….unit activated by people walking by, etc. I want to try the single frame camera feature, but have had time yet. The red on the bird’s throat really looks overly bright and saturated to me. The camera is not fast enough to stop the wing motion. The video and photo posted are crops. The still photo was extracted from a video. The camera records all 3 flower ports.

I’ve only had this thing one day. It is so much fun. I would highly recommend you getting one if you have hummingbirds or just any bird. I am very impressed with the quality of the videos I am getting.

UPDATE- I wanted to give this another chance so I kept it up another two weeks, scrubbed clean, fresh nectar and fingers crossed!…but disappointment isn’t even a start this time. Just save your money, time and breath and order a glass one because this isn’t worth anything.

My husband just got this for me for my birthday not even two weeks ago because I am absolutely obsessed with my birdfeeders and watching my hummingbirds at the window in front of my kitchen sink. This was only my third time filling it, I haven’t even set up the camera and solar panel yet. I wanted the birds to get used to the feeder before doing all the other stuff. I went to fill it last night and there is so much mold and mildew everywhere…. I’m not sure if it’s the type of plastic it’s made of, I’ve only ever used glass feeders but this was awful. Even the little silicone flowers were covered in mold. I will also add that I make my own nectar, no dyes, 4cups water and 1cup sugar.

I noticed a few bad reviews, but honestly, I don’t see the problem. This thing works great! My only gripe is that the camera seems to think I’m part of the wildlife — it still sends alerts when I’m 40 feet away mowing the lawn. Apparently, I’m just as interesting as the birds. 🐦😂
It would be nice to dial back the sensitivity so it only catches activity a foot or two in front of the camera. Other than that, it does exactly what it should — and for a fraction of the cost of Bird Buddy or other name brands.

Really nice product. WiFi setup is a breeze. Good video quality and alerts when hummers are feeding. No app subscription with fees as some of the others have. Priced lower than competitors making it good buy.

I purchased this feeder and immediately purchased a second one. It has attracted the Hummingbirds earlier than usual, the size is perfect and I absolutely enjoy it. It even records other movements that my home camera has not caught. Great quality video.

Not well made. The top was very hard to put on the feeder. When filled with nectar, it leaked out the top (when filling upside down as directed) and from the bottom when upright. We set up the camera and it worked, then when hung outside it wouldn’t load on the app. It was close to the house so wi-fi wasn’t an issue. So disappointing.

This is a wonderful item! It was easy to set up and I already have hummers coming around. The only issue I have is with the app — not with the actual feeder. Apparently, the CoolFly app does not time stamp the videos of the birds, so you cannot tell exactly when you are visited. They are grouped together in 2 hour sections, so you have an approximate idea of when a bird arrived, but I would really have expected to have something more specific. I asked CoolFly about this, and they confirmed that this is how the app is currently designed. I think they should make this an option.

Love the item! The camera does a great job taking such clear pictures and catching sounds. Small children love watching and listening to the videos. The container holds quite a bit of liquid. That’s a plus.

This Hummingbird Solar camera is super clear. It is very durable/sturdy. It’s not too large and was simple to install. If you love birds, you should definitely check it out!

Dies work very well I have almost 400 pictures of Air even on the lowest settings as customer service told me to set it at. Birdbuddy’s camera is much better and only takes a video/ picture if something is at the feeder

I bought this feeder in late October (it was on sale) for a Christmas gift. We are in Alabama. The weather finally turned nice and my husband set it up. That was about a month ago. The feeder leaks horribly. We’ve checked for cracks and correct assembly. That’s not the problem. It just leaks. Also, he set up an online account and somehow without permissions, we are able to see someone else’s feeder and they can see ours. We ended up in a “group”. My husbands career is IT/System Engineering. Basically, he’s not ignorant with computers or software. He was baffled. Of course our window to return is closed and can’t seem to get any human help.
