Excellent functionality love that I could put the probe into my meat and go about my cooking and have it read on my smart phone. Excellent value, great quality, perfect each and every time.

First and foremost I really like the whole presentation of the thermometer, the faux-woody base station isn’t exactly hard on the eyes and securely keeps the probe locked in when not in use. As far as the probe itself, it feels substantial, and I haven’t had any issues with the app so far (despite the lowish star rating on the iOS app store)
It definitely does the thing it was meant to do! If I had to complain it would be that it *needs* the app, a temperature display on the base station would be welcome, but alas there is none.

Extremely convenient kitchen utility that I didnt think I needed. The app is super basic, but so far I havent had any issues with it. Range was fine through a couple walls (drywall) but I’m not sure I’d trust it through anything thicker.

I’ve tested and reviewed several wireless meat thermometers and this one receives top marks for ease of use and battery life. The app is very easy to use and works well. I wanted to see how long the battery on the probe would last after I used it to cook meat on my grill, so I left it on all night and only 1 bar had gone away after 11 hours! Hopefully it will continue to be that good. The only negatives are there is no wifi connection, so you can’t use it in your smoker when you are away, and the sending unit needs to be very close to the probe, so I can’t keep it in the house when it’s raining.

My husband used this a lot. He has a wire meat thermometer for smoking all the meat but the metal wire does get in the way of closing the smoker lid. This one is a game changer for him since the lid does not have small crack and does keep the smoke and temp in. The wooden box is actually the charging unit/cable. You need to plug in the charging cable on the side of the box to charge the unit. On the middle of the box does show level of battery and top three indicator. He has used it a few times for ribs and works great. But has not use for brisket yet due to the thick piece of meat. But he will test it out soon. The battery life does last a decent amount of time. Also the app is a plus for monitoring the temp and etc. Overall great item to have if you smoke meat.

I do quite a bit of BBQing and smoking meats. The only way I know to get perfect results every time is to monitor temps. This probe does exactly that and you can monitor those temperatures remotely via bluetooth on your smartphone. It has an especially long range, so you should be able to be in any part of your house and still receive the data. The app is easy to use.

We regularly use thermometers when grilling and smoking. They inevitably succumb to heat or accidents and need replacing every once in a while. We like the wireless ones a little better than the wired ones, as the wires seem to be the weak spot. This thermometer is replacing a very similar one that got dropped, kicked across the kitchen, and stepped on in an unfortunate comedy routine. Except for the different app, it’s almost indistinguishable. The app is basic but it gives you what you need. The bamboo holder is a charging base and keeps you from losing it when you’re not using it. It charges quickly, and has a long battery life. The stainless probe is easy to clean and the unit looks great. The temperature is readings check out with a couple of instant read thermometers to within a degree or two, about as close as we’d expect. It’s survived a couple drops so far without issue, but we’re not going to do the ‘kick across the kitchen right under someone walking with boots’ test. It’s less expensive than the one it’s replacing, which is nice for something we figure on replacing occasionally anyway.
