Pound for pound a fab little speaker & this opinion is based on two things, first is, the sound quality has a little nuance to it, to say it cost what it does, I’ve paid lots in the past for hi fi so I know a little about sound & comparably for the bargain price of this, when you’re sat outside, around a fire pit, quietly spangled, it’s all the volume & quality you need + secondly all the rest of the package, the design looks extraterrestrial & I think appealing, it wouldn’t look out of place inside the house or out, I know it’s plastic but hey again I refer to the price, all this & the inbuilt light effect, the effective controls + the proven excellent (night long) battery life – I’m really pleased so much so that I’m buying a second to add for enhanced barbeque ambience (as they can be paired) – I’ve heard various other comparable type speakers & must admit they all offer something at a price but I really like everything on offer with this item – Enjoy

Lo quality

This speaker is one of the best gifts I’ve received. The sound quality was shockingly good despite how cheap the speaker looks. Even if it looks cheap, once in hand you can feel there is a certain quality to the build. It is sturdy, shock resistant as advertised, weather proof as advertised, and the battery lasts FOREVER on one charge. The light feature is beautiful and gives off a fireplace effect. The LED lasted years without turning it off.

I would recommend this to anyone who has a family member who enjoy being outside at night while listening to music or videos.

Great for an outside party…looks good and a great sound. Bought for my son and he loves it!

I bought these not knowing what to expect. Absolutely glad I did. I use it constantly.
Really sets the mood for me and my girl.
To kinda address some of the comments.
1. It is very easy to connect. To your Bluetooth.
2. It either flickers like a flame (which i like) or a solid light.
3. Sound is lacking in bass. But not in a bad way. These sound awesome.
I would absolutely recommend these since you can use these anywhere.

The LED flames are very cool and the overall aesthetic design is very nice. However, the sound quality is just OK. Mids and Highs are pretty crisp and clear, but but the bass is very limited, and there is no sub-bass at all. If you’re looking for background music and a nice centerpiece on a small covered outdoor table (like in a Gazebo) or to use it in place of a Tiki torch, it would work really well for that. However, if you want lots of full sound for a larger area or are looking for some bass in your music, you may not be entirely satisfied.

It does have a 1/4″ tripod mount on the bottom if you want to mount it on a more stable base, or perhaps elevated with an articulating tripod, which I think is a nice option.

In conclusion, I will definitely use it in my gazebo, but I would have paid extra for a larger speaker with more bass. For a few more inches in each direction they could have added a resonant chamber or passive radiator to bring out more bass…or better yet, just used a beefier driver altogether. My son has a JBL Charge 3 that is approximately the same size and shape and absolutely blows the bass out of the water on this thing. On the other hand, the LED flames on this are pretty cool and will look really nice in our gazebo…

So far, so good. We just got these a couple days ago, and while I was concerned based on the reviews, they synced together very easily. They sound great, but I wasn’t sure about the volume. So we took them outside and spaced them out where we’ll be using them. Without even adjusting the volume within the phone, they seem like, at the highest volume setting, they will be the perfect volume for party ambience… not so loud they’ll overpower conversation and not so soft that you can’t hear them. The true test will be at a party we’re hosting this weekend. I’ll try to update the review if my opinion changes. They also match well with a bunch of flickering solar torch lights we’d also bought on Amazon and put around our pool.

As for the syncing, ignore the comments & reviews that say they don’t sync. They DO. Here’s what we did:
1) Turn on one of the speakers and pair it with your phone or other device
2) Turn off the speaker
3) Turn both speakers on and hold down the bluetooth pairing button until the white light ring on each of them blinks
4) When the white light ring on both devices turns solid, they are connected to one another and will automatically link to the phone or other device that you previously paired.

Love it. It’s attractive, a night light, and speakers.

The DIKAOU speaker connects easily via Bluetooth and the sound quality is actually quite good! I bought this mainly to use in my small patio, and it fulfills that role perfectly.

The LED flame feature is nice to have, but the simulated flame flickers could be better. The flickering is a bit too quick for my taste and it almost feels spastic. While the light that it casts onto the table around it is nice, looking at it directly feels like staring into a broken strobe light.

Two areas I feel could be improved upon is the volume control and the on/off button. The volume is controlled by the same buttons which also serve to skip or rewind a track. It’s a quick press to skip tracks and a long press to adjust the volume. It would make more sense if the functions were inverted (short press to adjust volume and long press to skip tracks). Since there are no volume level indicators, it’s hard to fine tune the volume as the button need to be held down to adjust the levels. I find it easiest to place it on the loudest setting and simply control the volume through my phone. Thankfully, the speaker does play a chime when the volume setting has been maxed out.

As for the on/off switch, it’s a 2-second press to turn the speaker on/off and a 3-second long press to activate the Bluetooth sensing to pair with your device. There were times when the device didn’t turn on/ off because I didn’t press the button long enough and other times it went into sensing mode because I held down the button too long.

Other than the minor nuances with the LED flame and the button long press issues, I do like this speaker. The sound quality is great and it pairs easily with my phone. It looks elegant and does add to the ambience of the patio especially at night time – as long as you don’t look directly at the LED.
