This is way better quality than I expected. I am also a large man with large wrists, and this is the first thing I have bought in a while that fits loosely. I purchased the original Leatherman brand for over 100 bucks a few years ago and it really cant tell a difference in the two bracelets. I actually sold the Leatherman bracelet to buy this one and I’m very glad I made that choice. It is very large and will be accommodating for heavyweight guys. I had to take out 2 links and I’m kinda fat. Great product and very heavy.

DO NO PURCHASE! I strongly recommend not buying this bracelet. I have had two, I bought one and received a replacement as a gift. On both bracelets the clasp broke within a month. The clasp is held closed by spring loaded bearings and once it breaks it cannot be repaired and I have not been able to find a replacement clasp anywhere, and I have looked extensively. Leatherman no longer makes the Thread (which I had and left in a hotel) and this one is just not worth it.

Great quality bracelet. Has a good weight to it and feels comfortable. I had to take 2 links out to fit my wrist but chose 2 I didn’t think I would really need to use. Removing or adding links is simple but the screwdriver that is included isn’t the best. It’s too small and certainly isn’t hardened. The clasp is incredibly hard to open which is good and bad. You know it’s not going to come off easy but that also a drawback. I’ve had to use a butter knife or flathead screwdriver a few times to undo the clasp and you absolutely will break a nail. Knocked a star off for the clasp and screw driver.

I have owned the original Leatherman Tread bracelet for years. I loved it from day one. I had it for 9 years until I got the best of it. The tiny bearings of the clasp finally fell out. Because the black will eventually be half and half chrome after 9 years of wear. This bracelet is like a watch to me, I feel naked without it. Im average sized and was worried it was going to be too large/wide but it’s great. To fit right I only had to take out one regular small flathead links and one small link with the SIM card tool that I won’t need and it feels great on my arm. Stainless finish FTW Man stuff. Edit: I did have a malfunction with the locking mechanism which is a small spring and two very small steel BB’s, when I was taking it off one night apparently one of those BBs shot out and the spring fell out which I found the spring and then 2 days later I stepped on the BB and found it and was able to put it back together where it would not hold the BB but I took a nail and fixed the flare so it would hold the BB and it’s been working well I’m just careful whenever I take it off so I don’t lose the spring and BB’s. Should be easy to repair if I lose them but I ordered a second one for a replacement before I found the baby to put back in and I’m just going to keep the second one new in the box for a gift for somebody probably. This thing is a great deal and it looks great. Also, make sure you use a real screwdriver too fully tighten down each Flathead screw because they are not fully seated and the small screwdriver is not enough to cinch the screws down properly.
