When I ordered this item, I worried that it would have a cheap, plastic-y feel to it. I can assure you, it does not. It feels like an actual statue. It has some heft/weight to it which makes it feel more high quality. It is very smooth with no rough spots. Color is as shown on the product page. I tried to show it’s size in one of the photos. I have an average adult size hand so you can see the approximate size of the figurine. All in all I am very pleased with the look and quality of this product. We have two Labs and the dog used for the figurine seems very Lab-like. So it currently adorns our family room with a plethora of other Lab stuff. It fits in seamlessly as something that is not too fancy but not too inexpensive looking either.

As someone who has had dogs all my life and has taken care of them up until it was their time to go, I just wanted some little decorations around my house to symbolize the relationship between humans and dogs, and this little statue is absolutely wonderful. It’s size is perfect, not too big nor too small, and the overall build quality seems quite good. I’m very happy I got this little statue and I think it’s perfect for those who have a strong connection with their pets and dogs in general.

I will start by saying that this figurine is of very high quality. I expected it might be lightweight or hollow but it is a nice heavy weight and is as sweet in person as I had hoped. I am a dog lover and full time dogsittter and so I’m always collecting dog themed gifts for my clients (and sometimes for myself!) It does look in person just like the picture shown and I love the size and feel of this statue/figurine. It came in a very well and safely packaged box.
The only reason I had to take off one star is that it has a defect on one side where it seems the tooling in production scraped the finish off. It’s not too glaring however I had planned to use this as a gift for a client, but since it has the defect, I will just keep it for myself and have to turn it so that the other side is facing out. I still love it and how sweet it is, but it can’t be used for my intended purpose.

I’ve been eyeing this statue for some time but I’m so glad I waited until the black was released because I’ve seen it in two other colors, I think there was white & then sandstone, or something along those lines. The black is the best in my opinion. It seems to be of good quality. It’s fairly small but not terribly so. It makes me think of my childhood dog Snoopy that passed away when I was very young. He was my best friend. This is a lovely statue for a dog owner, for someone remembering their beloved dog or even for someone who’s never had a dog before. This statue alone depicts the bond between a dog & his owner/parent.
