I found that instead of sealing the plastic bags this device burns its way through the bags, and when I had this happen and opened the lid smoke came wafting out along with the smell of burning plastic. Also, when trying to seal a bag the vacuum cuts off before the sealer activates and allows air to re-enter the bag. The upshot is that this product is not worth your consideration and should be avoided.

this literally does everything but vacuum seal. i must have read and followed the directions 20 times. even tried to google a video. not a single suction happening. locked in place, still no suction. this thing just seals the bag shut. but the heating mechanism gets so hot sometimes it just melts the bag above the seal right off. you can see air in my bag after a seal. returning
