I use a heat gun constantly in my craft room for various projects for hours a day. I bought this, along with another senior automatic heat gun that I could rotate throughout the day. Right out of the package, this looked to be of great quality. It’s built week and heavy duty. It comes with several sticks and charged fairly fast. I put it straight to work! It did well for the first few projects, but after 4 or 5 uses, I noticed it quickly began to cool significantly, not holding the temp quite as well as first started. Then things just went downhill from there. Glue ended up binding on the end of the gun, not feeding properly and the temp was fluctuating causing lumps of glue and runs at different times and seemingly activating by itself. I was really wanting to fall in love with the ease of operation of this little gun, but it just didn’t do it for me. Back to the old style I go. Hopefully they will come out with something like this that can actually hold up to significant use in the future because it’s a great idea.

I avoided buying this because I bought the typical $4 standard glue gun. However, that one has the issue with refilling where it won’t catch and you have to manually push then glue stick through.
I need to use a glue gun weekly so it’s frequent enough to justify buying a nicer version.
This one heats up quickly, works well transitioning between glue sticks, and usually applies consistently. If left on it will drip.
Overall, best glue gun I’ve used and I would recommend it if you’re doing frequent projects.

And then the others are different color glittered ones. It was a little more expensive than a cord one but this is cordless and that is exactly what I was looking for. This thing is a beast. It works great. It pumps out glue very fast. I wish it took larger glue sticks because those little sticks go very quickly.!! It’s not a huge issue but it would be cool if it had the ability to take larger sticks. But at the same time, I change colors often so it kind of works out for me for some little projects I don’t like popping the trigger on a regular glue gun. I find because I have muscular dystrophy in my hands sometimes lock up whenever I squeeze things so I can’t control it like I want to, but that little trigger on this one is very easy it’s a little button trigger. You don’t have to push it hard so my hand does not lock up on it and it’s very easy for me to operate and it’s very fast. It moves very quickly. You can basically just write with it almost like you would write with a marker or something, it’s very quick, so be ready to move it when you push the button it puts out glue very quickly. This is for experience users I would recommend.

One tip: remember to remove the cap! It’s clear and pointed so you might forget it’s there. I did, and was squirting glue inside it till I realized. If this happens to you, dig out the glue while it’s still hot, another stupid mistake I made. After that, I painted the cap with red nail polish so I wouldn’t make that dumb mistake again.

I couldn’t even get the glue sticks (that came with the glue gun) to fit through the hole. I used my phone flashlight to look inside and it looks like there’s a little black box blocking about half of the hole, so I don’t know if it was assembled wrong or something? But it’s unusable
Edit: I was able to remove the yellow silicone piece and rotate it to realign the hole. It’s working well so far, but I shouldn’t have had to perform surgery and risk damaging a brand new product.

If you are looking for a glue gun this one is the one to get. Definitely worth the price, it does not drip glue flows perfect, with the trigger you dont even have to push it down all the way. It also Heats up real quick so its ready to use in less than a minute. Its lightweight and i love that it comes with the stand and is portable. Helps me worth on my eternal flowers on the go!

One tip: remember to remove the cap! It’s clear and pointed so you might forget it’s there. I did, and was squirting glue inside it till I realized. If this happens to you, dig out the glue while it’s still hot, another stupid mistake I made. After that, I painted the cap with red nail polish so I wouldn’t make that dumb mistake again.

I received the HOTO glue gun on December 8, 2024, hoping it would be a reliable tool for quick home repairs and DIY projects. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. The glue gun worked fine for the first few uses, but after just a couple of weeks, it stopped functioning altogether. The auto-dispensing feature, which initially seemed convenient, now doesn’t work at all, and the glue won’t flow properly despite being fully charged.
I was really excited about the cordless and rechargeable design, but the durability is clearly lacking. For the price, I expected better quality and longevity. Now, I’m left with a broken tool and 40 unused glue sticks. I wouldn’t recommend this product unless significant improvements are made to its build quality and reliability. Very frustrating!
Update: I originally gave a 2-star review for the HOTO cordless glue gun because the first unit I received didn’t work properly. However, I contacted HOTO’s customer service, and they were extremely responsive and helpful. They sent me a replacement without any hassle, and the new one works perfectly!

I couldn’t even get the glue sticks (that came with the glue gun) to fit through the hole. I used my phone flashlight to look inside and it looks like there’s a little black box blocking about half of the hole, so I don’t know if it was assembled wrong or something? But it’s unusable
Edit: I was able to remove the yellow silicone piece and rotate it to realign the hole. It’s working well so far, but I shouldn’t have had to perform surgery and risk damaging a brand new product.

Just got it. Tried it out a little bit. Seems to be great. Sometimes the glue stick doesn’t feed in automatically when you put a new one in after the last runs out, but that just made me new user error! I do wish they made this in a high temp as well. That would be amazing

I just bought this couple days ago. It has a little stand to hold it up made of rubber or silicone. Maybe. It comes with 10 glue sticks like four or clear I think. And then the others are different color glittered ones. It was a little more expensive than a cord one but this is cordless and that is exactly what I was looking for.
I only use this once since getting it, it works really good. Heats up fast charges quick.
