Not bad, not bad at all! It was incredibly well boxed in strong cardboard and, which for items like this tells me the seller is someone who is serious about their products and how well their products present to their buyers.

I’ve used much smaller power banks in the past and they’ve all been pretty reasonable, but I spend more time outdoors and needed to run more electrical units like a 1500 watt room heater, cooling fans and the ability to recharge my phone, Drone batteries, emergency battery powered jumper cables, tire inflater, etc. This is a quiet unit right around 30 dB when running or charging which is incredibly quiet, close to a quiet whisper which is very respectable IMHO especially when sleeping, listening to music at a low volume or out hunting.

After unboxing the Explorer, I plugged it in to completely charge it before use as is suggested in the instructions. It came with 79% charged, so getting to 100% took only a few minutes. The app you can download has an Emergency charging option that significantly decreases the charging time which is an A+ especially on a tight schedule.

I tested the USB ports to make sure they were all functioning properly, which they were. It has 3 AC inputs which is perfect for my present needs. I tested my 1500 watt Space Heater going from fan only to the first heater (750 watt) option, then to the 2nd heater (1500 watt) option and all went very smooth. The second test was to assess the ability for the, up to 3000 watt surge, as is needed in heaters and/or small 1500 watt compressors (you need to know that some types of motors may require more than the 3000 surge watts for startup and choose accordingly.) Starting the heater on HI option II (1500 watts) right off the bat showed the Explorer output climb only 1875 watts then fall to the heaters running watts of 1450.

As for funtionability, everything went perfectly as described. The LED panel looks very impressive, bright and is very professionally done. It has a power saving option set at default in case you forget about it and will turn itself off after 12 hours. This option can be changed if wanted. It appears to be built very solid in case it is accidently dropped, etc. There is also a round inch or so in diameter LED light on the front panel to help one see really well even in complete darkness. There are 3 light settings: low, high and SOS modes and believe me, the light is extremely bright. If you enjoy seeing circles, it’ll get you there.

There’s a cigarette port charging option as well as a DC recharging port that can be utilized from your vehicle’s cigarette port and of course there’s the standard AC recharging port as well.

I was fortunate to have purchased it and the carrying bag for 41% off and compared to the other well-made generators I researched, feel the buy was an excellent choice. At first, I thought $50 bucks for the carrying bag was a bit much, but after receiving it, I’m very impressed with how well and thought out the bag is, so I am very satisfied and feel the $50 was reasonable.

Overall, I give the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Portable Power Station and Carrying Bag a solid 5 Stars for everything I’ve mentioned above. As for commenting on any Cons, I feel I’d only be nitpicking so I won’t waste either of our times.

Works as intended and battery lasts for days. If using a heater though and it’s pulling 900watts or more the time this thing will power that is about 1-2 hours. It powers all my appliances on the go with no problem for hours on end. Sometimes all day.

I am extremely happy with the Jackery Solar Generator 1000 v2 and the 200W Solar Panel. This thing is a powerhouse and a fantastic upgrade for off-grid living and emergency preparedness. The 1070Wh LiFePO4 battery and 1500W AC output handle everything I need, and the 1-hour fast charge is a game-changer. Excellent build quality—it’s a truly high-end device.
    The Flaw: Proprietary Solar Cable
I dropped a star because of the proprietary connector cable for the solar panels. This is a huge risk for an emergency device:
    1. No Spares: Jackery is constantly out of stock on replacement cables.
    2. Single Point of Failure: If this single cable breaks, gets lost, or is damaged, the expensive 200W solar panel becomes completely useless when you’re out in the field.
In an emergency, this lack of backup or a standard connection (like MC4) is unacceptable. I hope Jackery addresses the stock issue immediately.
    Verdict
Highly recommended for its performance, but be aware of the solar cable dependency. Jackery needs to fix the spare cable supply or, if I had to do it over I’d buy a different solar panel to charge the generator.

The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is a reliable and powerful portable power station that’s perfect for camping, RV trips, and home backup. It delivers plenty of power for electronics, small appliances, and tools, with stable pure sine wave output. Charging is impressively fast, the build quality feels solid, and it’s easy to carry for its size. With multiple ports and a long-lasting battery, it’s a dependable power solution when you need it most.

This might have been one of my favorite purchases of the year. The overall cost was great since it is on sale at the moment. I have done a ton of research around which system to go with and this by far takes it. Worth every penny. The power is stable and works for all of my device needs. I am able to power a diesel heater overnight while camping for my family and have plenty of power to last a few more days without charging. The overall capacity of power can easily last several days depending on use. The weight is on the higher end so its not as travel friendly but if you are overlanding like I am, the weight is irrelevant. I wouldn’t take this on a hike at all. The size was a little bigger than expected so again, it is meant to stay put while camping or as emergency backup at home.

I live in an area where power outages do happen at least a couple times a year but I work remote from home. This Explorer 1000 has more than enough power to take my server (2 managed POE switches, multiple cameras, router, modem, and power distribution) plus my work computer and water heater to last at least the day. Accompanied with the solar cell, it can last several days.

Bought as a gift for cpap, in case the power went out. It powered the cpap for 4 days before recharge (used about 200 a night). Really nice product and shipped fast. The panels are easy to use, even for a novice like us. Little bulky, but holds a lot of power. Holds its charge well, too. Can’t wait to see it over a long haul. Might take it camping, if we get the chance.

Tons of power. Charges quickly at home. I bought a different brand solar panel because it was so much cheaper and it works great. It’s heavy but the box itself is tight, which makes it easier to carry. I had another brand years ago with a bulkier package and holding it out another couple degrees from my side made it hurt to carry faster. All the plugs work perfectly so far – I appreciate the high wattage Type C port. The phone app worked, but I don’t particularly use it. I really like being able to see the draw on the display. The display is easy to read. Excellent product.

My husband has been looking for a solar generator for some time, this one checked the boxes on everything he wants. We are able to use it to run our camper during the fall time where we don’t have to use the traditional generator. It is well made and the battery lasts. It has even been used at our house in instances where we have lost power for short periods of time. It is easy to carry around, light weight, and easy to use. I highly recommend it.

    But I didn’t!
So far this thing has blown me away on its initial outing. I have never used something like this before. I got this instead of a small gas jenny.

It filled 3 queen size air mattresses, 4 Single Tubes (nice ones) a 4 person party island. Charged every electronic device shoved at it, 6 cell phones, a few battery packs, a few (honestly unknown) flashlights, a bunch of kids radios a few times, a mosquitoes coil thing a couple times and we used it to power a USB light off and on for realistically not that long. It only took it down to 71%, so I got home, and plugged in a big box fan and ran it for three hours. It took it down to 60% I am blown away by this.

It shows right on the display the power you are pulling and how long it will last at that level. You can turn the outlets on or off at the AC side or the USB outlets.
With it plugged in and charging it tells you how long it will take.
The solar panels have a charging cable that has a USB port right in it, I never it though.
I reckon if I kept the solar panels adjusted pretty regularly it would take the time quoted to get them charged. That hasn’t been what I have done, but they seem to be doing the job.
Not only would I buy this again. I started show boating it to my friends.
I think this little thing isn’t just functional, it’s awesome.
    I might be older then I thought…

To start with, I love my Jackery Explorer 300 and took a chance on the Explorer 1000 and not disappointed.

This is copy of my review for DJI Portable Power Station 1000 Vs the Jackery Explorer 1000. I hope to help others when comparing these two popular power stations that are both known for reliability. In the end for a quick read, the Jackery Explorer out performed the DJI Portable Power Station by quite a bit. Great job Jackery! Here is my slightly edited review:

I purchased the DJI Power 1,000 Portable Power Station for emegencies as well as camping and such. I do own a Jackery Explorer 300 as well as a Jackery Exporer 1000. Today I tested the Jackery Explorer 1000 (1500W rating) as well as the DJI Power 1000 (2200W rating). I’ve had the Jackery 1000 for maybe a month and the DJI for about 1 week and both were new up to today and charged to 100% for the first time for this test. I connected each to a 1000W heater (Presto Heat Dish) which is a reflective type heater with no fan/blower, just a heating element reflected off what looks like a satellite dish.

I put the heater at highest setting and it was rated at about 1045-1047 watt output according to both battery power stations. I tried to run them both for ONE hour and see what percentage of the battery power stations was left after the hour.

The Jackery Exporer 1000 had 40% battery life after 1 one hour which was good, so I first thought. After trying the DJI 1000, the Jackery was apparently very good. The Jackery never really got too warm and was super quiet.

The DJI Power 1000 could not make it to one hour. I shut it down after 45 minutes as it only had 7% battery life left. I never run them to zero and 7% was much lower than I like to run them to, but wanted to milk this until at least 45 minutes, which I did. The fan area near the power switch area of the DJI was pretty warm and the other side fan area was cool, near the outlets. The DJI also had noticeable fan noise, but it was just noticeable and not loud. I also noticed after getting the DJI Power 1000 that it didn’t have the cigarette lighter receptacle (12V DC) like the Jackery did, which I overlooked.

The Jackery is about 2/3 the weight of the DJI and has a swing handle across the top like most smaller power stations do. The DJI had two fixed grips, one on each side which seem more sturdy, but not as convenient to carry around.

I don’t usually rate and review two named items in a review but both are great names with reliabilty and known quality. I’m just sad to say that the DJI did not live up to my expectations and relly disappointed. Hopefully they will get the battery management taken care of in future models. With the DJI rated another 700 watts than the Jackery, I guess I expected more. If I were to put a 2200 watt device on the DJI Power 1000, I’m not sure it would last a half hour.

I would recommend the Jackery Exporer 1000 very easily after my test. jackery is quiet, reliable and the energy used is very well managed within the system.

    What a great power station!
This is a great portable size and worked very well in our RV for night time use. We were able to run our Starlink, an iPad and charge multiple phones overnight without any issues.
Charge time takes on the power station took about an hour and 45 minutes to fully charge but got us about 8 hours of charge time throughout the night. This will vary depending on your output.
The button functions on the front are very easy to use as you can toggle both the usb side and the power plug side. The display shows how much time you have left and the auto off feature works well when needed.
Overall this is a great product and I am glad to have purchased this unit!

I purchased the Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 during the Early Black Friday Discount period in November 2025 to help during the expected power outages this Winter. The biggest reason for this purchase is my great experience with the other Jackery Explorers that my family have been using for the past five years. All of my other units are still working as expected and are still at peak performance. Last year we had some rotating blackouts and I wanted to add another quick charging unit to my mix. I like the Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 enough that this is my second E1000 V2. I purchased the 1st one last spring before the Summer storms from Jackery.

The 1500 Watt inverter is large enough to power almost all of your kitchen counter equipment and the light weight will let you position the E1000 V2 wherever you need it. I like multiple units as this requires fewer extension cords and you can be solar charging some while using others. The E1000 V2 is just the right size for me as it has light weight, fast charging and enough battery size to complete most operations. You can easily double the battery capacity if needed by connecting a 12 Volt 100AH LiFePO4 battery to the Solar Input. The 12 Volt battery will give you 100 watts of charge to extend the battery run time. You can use this if Solar is not available or on cloudy days. You will need to recharge the Battery with a separate charger after use.

One of the reasons that I chose the Jackery Explorer line is that they are reliable self contained units and do not require other equipment to operate. Some of the competition requires smart phones with special applications to use all of the features. If you have a wide area power outage it is better to have each piece of your emergency equipment able to stand alone. It is somewhat discouraging to see some of the new Jackery units requiring a smart phone for some of their features.

If you live in a area where power interruptions happen, then you will find that a Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 will just make things a lot better for your family.
Keep the charge topped off every 3 months and it will be ready when you need it.

Note the E1000 V2 will not except a charge if the display reads 100% even after setting for enough time for the internal self discharge to drop the charge below 100%.

Great power station as the video can demonstrate (The video was all the 5 minutes plus but there was a limit on the amount I can upload so I had to cut some parts off*). In this example I was using the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 to cook a meal using a microwave. It was drawing around 1370~ watts for all of the 5 minutes. It got the job done flawlessly without any hiccups. When it started it was at 84% charge and when it needed it was at 72% so it used a total of 12% of battery for 5 minutes of usage with this amount of power draw. It’s great and more than reasonable. The weight and portability is great! Being lightweight is a big plus! I’ve used this with my computer and monitor drawing around 400 watts and it lasts around 3 hours. Also used to charge my tools batteries, phones and use tower fans during these extreme heat! I love that you can control everything from the Jackery app with ease and you can modify how fast you want to recharge it. Giving you the option to extend your batteries lifetime. I definitely recommend this!

If you need a light weight ‘battery’ to carry in your car or truck, the Jackery Explorer 1000 is the way to go. Of course they have much larger units that will run the whole house but for an overnight camping trip, a road trip, etc this unit is great. It will run a refrigerator for several hours if you lose power but a larger unit should be used for that sort of thing.
It has wifi and can be started/stopped via smartphone. It stays charged for a long time between uses too.
    Good unit.

I live in central Florida and although it is seldom, we do have power outages. Most of them are of short duration. On some occasions it could last a few days. I do have an 1800 w duel fuel inverter/generator that I have been using. The struggles with a gas generator are running cords through a window and having the cords strung around.
I purchased the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 as it was one of the top brands that I have been researching. When I saw the price drop, I had to pull the trigger.
My primary mission for this unit is to run the kitchen refrigerator. Anything else in my mind was a plus.
For my test with the refrigerator, I ran the refer on the Jackery power supply for eight hours sitting on the kitchen counter next to the refrigerator. Starting at 100% in eight hours of continuous operation the power unit went down to 53%. Projecting this out, it might run my refer for fourteen hours. In summer months I would expect less as the compressor would run more frequently. When the compressor was running, there was a draw of 132 watts. The Jackery is so quiet that you never hear it. It is handy where it sits on the counter as we can easily plug in the toaster, blender, lights or any other device we might want.
I found that I could recharge the Jackery with my gas generator at a rate of 780 watts even with the refrigerator power being supplied by the Jackery.
I can power so many things with this Jackery and it is so very functional that I purchased a second Jackery Explorer 1000 v2. Now I can power the garage refrigerator at the same time, swap them around and durring an outage have the ability to charge them anytime with my gas generator outside of the garage.
They are small, light weight, and have a nice handle to carry them to different locations.
They will supply enough power that we can sleep all night without being concerned about any power need issues.
These units in tandom with my gas generator could keep us going for weeks as it only takes a couple of hours of running the gas generator to fully charge the Jackery. Life is good!
