The only reason I docked a star is that I feel like this isn’t long enough to tie in the back.

For a cheap alternative to the Heatless Hair curling ribbon, this is pretty good! I have shoulder length hair and I wasn’t sure if it would work or not because I hardly see any reviews on these with people with short hair. Especially people with layers like me!

I highly recommend watching the YouTube video by Milabu called “foolproof heatless curls”. She will show you how to do this do you get a more textured look. If you want a more wavy look, you can curl all your hair the same direction, but her method makes it pretty (in my opinion) and textured. The thing is, her hair is long and pretty and mine is short. So I ran into the problem of having prices of hair in the back that just didn’t curl.

What’s super important to do, I have come to find out if you have the same kind of haircut as me, make sure you change how the curling ribbon is sitting on your head. Milabu (I don’t know her real name, sorry) had the ribbon going from her front hair line to the nape of her neck. It works for her because she has long hair so it doesn’t really matter where the curls start for her. But if I just do what she did, I would have non-curled pieces with curly ends, because the hair would be stretched over to the ribbon and would barely be able to wrap around if that makes sense. So instead of going down right towards the nape of my neck, I make sure the ribbon goes a bit more straight back. Now this takes practice. You need the pieces to sit nice and flat and tight onto the ribbon and not bunch up or you won’t get as good of results. So as you wrap, make sure the ribbon is held so that it goes a bit more straight back so that it’s more parallel to the floor. It won’t be perfect and might still slant down, but it’s better than putting it on like youd wear a headband. This will help you actually have curliness in the back. Also it will help you have curls at the top instead of having a flat area and then curls.

Now I sometimes like to keep the center part like Milabu, but I often like to part it on the side after I take the curls out. I personally feel like that’s so pretty and really showcases the curls with beautiful volume on the side. It also helps disguise your part. Also I like to tease it a bit on both sides b cause I swear my head is a triangle. Play around with it! Don’t give up on the first try. If you want curls the way I had them, do it the way I suggested. And make sure you do use some sort of anti frizz to help tame it, especially if you have coarser hair like me.

Overall I give this specific ribbon an 8/10. I wish it was longer and I wish the wire inside was more impressionable to my head.

I bought this satin heatless curling set for my daughter, and we both love it! The satin feels super soft and gentle on her hair, and it’s so much easier than using a curling iron. We just wrap her hair around it before bed, and in the morning she wakes up with perfect, bouncy curls. It stays in place overnight and doesn’t pull or tangle. Such a great way to get pretty curls without any heat damage — definitely worth it!

I was skeptical about this but read the good reviews and bought this.
I LOVE it!!! I have a curling iron but I’m not good at it and burn myself etc so I barely use it even though I like having some curls on my hair. Usually I just twist and pull up with a band to make some waves but goes away easily. This cute little things makes great waves/curls on my hair when I wake up and hold up quite a long time.
I still have some difficulties to use it but good enough to have nice curls!
I’m sure the more I do it, the better I’m at it.
The best part is that not using heat from the iron to make my hair dry and damaged, this keeps my hair nice soft and shine with curls!
I’m going to get one for my sister for Christmas.

This works well most of them time. I have very long hair and this mostly works but doesn’t stay well . My hair curls well with a curing iron but I have to use a lot of product like hairsprays and creams with this heatless curl rod for the curl to hold. It’s also not very comfortable while sleeping , personally I need an additional clip to hold it in place.

Es liegt angenehm im Haar und man kann gut damit schlafen daher es so weich ist. Meine Haare waren schön und gut gelockt durch das Produkt und mit den zwei Zopfgummis kann man das Ende der Haare gut sichern.
Also ist es in mein Augen ein erfolgreiches Produkt.

The package came with the satin curling ribbon and two scrunchies for a total of SGD$42. Material was soft but not of particularly good quality and made in China. It does not come with the clip to secure the curling ribbon at the top of your head. I initially bought this one because I thought it would be quality goods, but I was wrong. Delivery was fast though. Box came slightly torn and squashed.

I would give this product 4.5 stars if I could. I’m really glad that I bought the velvet rod because it holds my fine, thin, breakable blonde hair much easier than the satin one.

It’s easy to use, but it takes practice to wrap it smoothly. I’ve tried it three times now, and I got better with each practice. Here’s my take away…if you get it on their perfectly smooth, and if you don’t move around a lot, then you may end up with the perfect result. More likely than not, you’ll get an awesome base of curls, and you’ll spend 5 minutes with some smoothing Moroccan oil, and you’ll touch up a few curls with your curling iron. For me, it saved me 30 minutes of curling my entire head with an iron. I’ll take the need for a quick touch up with an iron over the lengthy and hair damaging curling that I used to do. This product is mostly awesome.

I honestly was a bit skeptical of how well this would work for me, but I was pleasantly surprised! This set is so cute. My hair is on the longer side, about mid back. I used it on damp hair. It was difficult to wrap my hair tightly around the headband/wand, but I only spent about 10 minutes trying. My hair ended up being wrapped somewhat loosely. I was sure it would come undone during the night, but it stayed secure! When I took it out in the morning, I loved the outcome! It worked so well even though my hair wasn’t secured super tight, and that was just my first time, so I’m sure I’ll get better at it. My hair was pretty curly at first and I still had left over waves two days later! The set was a bit uncomfortable to sleep in, as I couldn’t turn my head to either side very far, and I felt like I had to stay on my back. However, there’s a couple ways you can use it and I hope to find what works for me and make it more comfortable in the future. Overall, a great product and I’m so glad I bought it!

– It lasts. Stays put during the day and when sleeping, and it’s comfortable—doesn’t pull my hair and hardly noticeable when you’re lying down.
– Doesn’t look terrible in. I’ve even gone to the grocery store on a busy day wearing it (like a fancy headband lol).
– It works. End result is amazing: nice body and smooth waves/curls (if you start when almost dry and leave in until fully dry) that last for days.
– Just right waves/curls. Not too curly, either, which you can end up with with individual padded rollers (which take much longer to put in if you have thick hair like I do).
– Take it with you. Sooooo easy for travel, and takes up almost no space: I’ve had no problems leaving my diffuser and curling iron at home. In some ways, it’s even better than my best crunch and slow air-dry days, because my hair comes out very smooth and stays that way for days.

Things to note: my hair is naturally wavy, so it curls pretty easily, but I think it should still work for straight hair.

Only one CON: Doesn’t come with a hair clip. TIP: I use my own xlarge claw clip to hold it in place at the top (which really helps) while I do one side, then take it out before I do the second side.

Mi truco y parte de mi rutina es después de usar este producto también usó un gorro de satén por encima, así no me despeino NADA durante la noche y puedo dormir mucho mejor sin preocuparme por moverme mucho. 💘
Siempre aplico aceite para cabello antes de enrollarlo y después. Como mi aceite tiene protección térmica yo SÍ uso un poco de calor en la mañana para fijar los rizos, lo hago con una secadora antes de quitarme el enrollador. Después lo quito, utilizo aceite y un poco de fijador y me duran TODO el dia! O al menos perfectamente 10 horas! 😇
Y sí, el peinado sale en menos de 15 minutos, 15 minutos para tener todo el cabello perfecto.
