I have lots of vacuums. I have cordless sticks, traditional sweepers and the robot vacuums that run when I’m not around. I have two dogs, so I feel like I need to clean the floors constantly. I found that the cordless sweepers are convenient, but not very powerful. I wanted a light vacuum with strong suction and I knew that a battery wouldn’t work…that’s why I got the corded version. Wow. It’s so powerful. It really picks up the dirt and I am very happy with how well it cleans my carpets. The cord is long enough that I can move around easily. It’s not very noisy and I really enjoy it. It was super easy to put together and although I saw some negative reviews about storage, I haven’t had any issues with just leaning it up against a wall. It was a great buy and I am very happy with the quality.

I’ve used my Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Vacuum 5 or 6 times over the past 3 months. — This vacuum does everything and has great suction. It is simple to switch from off to bare floor to carpet with the button on the handle. The dirt bin has a push button release so I position it over my trash can, push the release button, and wa-lah, it’s empty. No dirt and dust spilling everywhere. The dirt bin is nice and big. I vacuum my entire house where my two long haired cats and I live and only clean the dirt after the entire house is vacuumed. The vacuum head pivots, getting in all of the hard to reach places, and has great suction. I love that it’s light because I’m 57 and want to vacuum my second story stairs easily..this does it. The cord is long so I can clean my entire main floor of 800 SQ ft and only unplug/replug once. Highly recommend!

I purchased this Shark Rocket corded stick vacuum after purchasing a cordless vacuum from another brand — and this was the best decision I could have made.
The issue with cordless stick vacuums are that the batteries simply just never last long enough. The battery on cordless vacuums typically drain faster, which means you go to through more battery cycles and therefore the faster the battery would need to be replaced.
This is not the case with this Shark stick vacuum — because the unit is corded. While you trade off some of the convenience and ease of mobility you get with cordless models, despite the cord, this unit is still light enough to easily get around a home. The Shark corded stick vacuum is powerful enough to suck up whatever mess you throw at it and the HEPA filtration ensures that the air is kept as clean as possible. Once your done vacuuming, with just one press, the dust container opens up to toss the dust away. To store the device, simply mount the vacuum head to the base and the unit can sit upright and stored virtually anywhere.
I almost forgot — Shark Rocket comes with some other handy tools such as the crevice tool, the upholstery tool, and the dusting brush. I personally used the crevice tool to get into those hard to reach areas and the dusting brush to clean window blinds. Both worked great in my use.
Now here are the downsides. While the Shark Rocket stick vacuum is lighter compared to other traditional vacuums, the actual head unit is top heavy, meaning you can’t prop the unit to stand upright if you want to take a break. Additionally pushing the unit will require a little bit more strength to push around since the top part weighs more than the base. Furthermore, while this vacuum worked great on hardwood and tiles, it did not work the best on low pile carpet and rugs, despite advertised as working on these types of material. Don’t get me wrong, it will clean your basic low pile rugs but if you intend to use this vacuum on medium to high pile carpet, you’re going to be let down. My last gripe is, that with all the tools that this unit comes with, it does not come with a wall mount to place everything on.
All in all, if you’re looking for a lightweight vacuum to clean hardwood, tiled flooring and occasionally some low pile rugs, this is the best vacuum for the job — without having to deal with the battery woes of cordless models. However, if you expect this vacuum to clean various level of medium to high pile carpet, your best off looking elsewhere.

Great vacuum for the money. Bought it for it to be light and work on hardwoods and carpeting. Have cats and a dog with short fur. This is so easy to use. I do wish it would stand without falling over, but then it would’ve cost more to buy it. I actually like that it has a cord so I dont have to worry about battery life

This is a review of the Shark Rocket Ultra-light (box says Pet) vacuum, model # HV301, the orange and gray one that has apparently been around for years and has lots of great reviews. (See photo.) There are other models sold on the same product page, making reading reviews confusing if you don’t know which model is being reviewed. Read carefully when ordering, too, to get the model you want.
I’ve only had it a couple of days but so far I’m very pleased with it. It’s pulling an appalling amount of embedded dirt from my low pile carpet and does a great job on my hard surface floors. It’s very easy to use and isn’t horribly loud for such strong suction. It has two speeds, one for hard floors/area rugs or using the attachments, and one for carpet.
I’m not used to a vacuum with the motor at the top, but it’s not heavy and I love that it lies flat to easily get under beds and swivels around furniture. The cord is about 25 feet long. It includes three attachments: upholstery, crevice, and dusting tools. These and the floor unit can attach to either the long wand or to the upper motor for use as a handheld vac. Simple and very easy to put together or separate the parts as needed. The attachments aren’t stored on the vacuum, but I like that. I don’t want the added bulk or weight when I’m vacuuming floors. The filters are very easy to change and only need to be removed, rinsed, and air dried once a month. Another smaller filter can go even longer.
The long cord wraps for storage and the top motor part can hook lower down so it stands alone anywhere. It will also stand against a wall without moving the top part, but it won’t stand alone that way in the middle of the floor. The dirt cup isn’t very large but is okay. I wish the dirt cup would detach (as on some other models) so that the motor and cord don’t have to be taken to the trash can, but that’s one less thing to break and isn’t much of an inconvenience. It has a light that lets you know if the roller brush gets clogged, but there are no illuminating lights. The roller cover removes using a coin, although I haven’t needed to do that.
For me, ease and simplicity of use and the excellent performance in cleaning are the important factors, and this stick vac excels at those. This is a great vacuum especially for the price. I got it on sale but at regular price it’s still less expensive than many comparable vacs. Surprisingly it has a long 5-year warranty.
This will supplement but won’t replace my robot vac which will still be used for frequent, effortless lighter cleanings, but it will replace my ancient, heavy, falling-apart upright which apparently I haven’t used nearly often enough, judging by what this vacuum is removing. I’ll add this vac to the routine. The robot is great at removing pet hair but isn’t nearly as good at removing embedded dirt. I wish I’d bought this Shark sooner.
Especially if you have any carpet, or if you don’t already have a good vacuum with attachments, I highly recommend this Shark. (No matter what type floor, if you have pets who shed, I also highly recommend the Wyze robot vac for that, between deeper cleanings.)

Ok so our battery operated shark vacuum was loosing its battery life after each charge. I decided to go the plug route. This seemed like a great midline option. Not too big, not too small, priced at a good budget point (for us). Let me tell you the plug route was the best idea. It’s a fairly long plug that I can do my whole first floor and second floor from one outlet (obviously my house is somewhat small;). The suction is amazing! Things I would’ve had to sweep, or pick up by hand I can now rely on the vacuum to pick up. The second power option for carpet is very powerful as well. It leaves nice carpet lines and picks up everything. My only problem with the vacuum is I find the handle heavy on my arm. The engine is on the upper end of the handle as is the waste basket compartment ( which can hold a nice amount of dirt). I find myself switching hands to give one hand a rest. The vacuum also can not stand on its own for the same reasoning. Aside for that this is a very reliable vacuum.

I got this when it was on sale for $109.99
I purchased it for my workplace to do a few rooms of low pile office carpet and a few vinyl backed low pile mats. I also have one small office with high pile carpet .
It’s fantastic for low pile carpets . It removes sand and dirt well. It does equally well on the mats . It did good on the high pile carpet and left nice grooves in the pile ( the occupant of that high pile office likes and wants to see vacuum lines as proof I cleaned his room).
I tried it in my pet filled home ( 6 cats ) before taking to the office! My home is 100 percent wood floors and tile .
I really like this vacuum. I think it picks well ! It did great removing loose litter , dander and cat hair in my home. It does not blow the debris away it actually picks it up even on the edges and on the front edge too !
Things to keep in mind :
* The head is small so you will have to go over areas a bit .
* The pole length is not adjustable and I feel it’s quite long . I’m only 5’1 and I feel it’s too long ! While it’s light weight it’s not effortless to use . I think an upright is easier on the arms .
* it’s top heavy and can’t stand up on its own . It does have rubber backing on motor /cup do when you lean it it doesn’t fall over too easily . It does require you to be cautious with where you stand it and I feel with kids or pets around you would need to be extra careful with placement . It has tipped over times , has not broken …yet .
* The cord is OK length . I would have liked a few more feet .
* Suction is very good ! The hose running from the head to the cup is smaller ! I would suggest picking up before vacuuming to ensure nothing large gets sucked up. The vacuum has washable filters , if you notice suction loss , wash the filters ( just a sink rinse and overnight out on counter dry Needed)
* The vacuum is strong so the dust cup fills quickly . The cup is attached to the motor head so after taking it off the pole you must drag the whole head ( with cord ) to the trash bin … a bit annoying.
* I store this in my locker at work , I just pop the head off and it goes into my small locker just fine .
I really like this vacuum and I feel it would be great as an apartment vacuum . For a large home I feel the head is small and will require too much arm action to be useful!

Got this on sale for $100 and it’s amazing. I was always a cordless spokesperson, but after my Dyson vacuum started dying after 5 minutes I decided to try corded again. This is really nice and lightweight. The suction on the highest setting is great and gets everything out of my carpet. It does take a little adjusting to get it to lean against a wall for a minute, but the back of the actual head piece does have rubber backing on it to help. Just needs a flat wall because it won’t stand by itself. I’ve been officially converted to not only Shark, but to corded again!

I replaced my Dyson vacuum cleaner with the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Bagless Vacuum, and I couldn’t be more pleased. This vacuum is incredibly lightweight yet surprisingly powerful. It picks up dirt, dust, and pet hair with ease on both carpet and hard floors.
I especially like how easy it is to maneuver around furniture and into tight spaces. The suction is strong and consistent, and the corded design means I never have to worry about battery life fading mid-cleaning. Converting it to a handheld vacuum is quick and convenient for stairs and quick touch-ups.
For the price, this Shark delivers outstanding performance and practicality. Simple, effective, and much easier to handle than my old Dyson—highly recommended.

We have gone through 3 Dyson products and have just had enough of the high priced short life span of them. Thought we would just grab something less expensive to get us through until we decided on our next vacuum.
Read the reviews on this unit and were intrigued.
Wow, what an amazing find!! Being corded gives it more power which was awesome. The cord is 25 feet long so you have lots of coverage before needing to switch outlets.
It is light, well balanced and feels good in your hand.
Great for reaching up for ceiling corners, powerful power bar for carpet, and easy to empty and operate.
Wish we had of found this before we got caught up in the Dyson hype.
You will not regret buying this vacuum!!

I have another larger vacuum and – honesty – I’d rather burn all the carpets than lug that thing around. This feels like a tree branch compared to that one. Great suction power and gets into decent spaces. The head swivels quite a bit. Does a great job. It’s also one of the easiest vacuums to clean. The roller panel cover is easy to take off (I used a butter knife to unlock the 3 latches) and it’s REALLY satisfying to cut and yank all the hair out of there. The filter is also really easy to clean under the sink and dries fairly quickly (softly ring the water out). Got this on sale and it was worth every penny.

This is the best vacuum that I have ever owned. It is light weight, versatile, easy to do stairs as it has a long cable. Fit’s all my needs, and it doesn’t scare the dog!

The vacuum has washable filters , if you notice suction loss , wash the filters ( just a sink rinse and overnight out on counter dry
Needed)
* The vacuum is strong so the dust cup fills quickly . The cup is attached to the motor head so after taking it off the pole you must drag the whole head ( with cord ) to the trash bin … a bit annoying.
* I store this in my locker at work , I just pop the head off and it goes into my small locker just fine .
I really like this vacuum and I feel it would be great as an apartment vacuum . For a large home I feel the head is small and will require too much arm action to be useful!

Love this vacuum. It is lightweight and has amazing cleaning power. It is easy to use and has enough suction power to clean our carpets. We really like this product because it will clean up our throw rugs without suctioning them off of the floor.

Simple, lightweight vaccum that really does a good job when using to vaccum carpeting. It works well on solid flooring as well. Well worth the price.

Lightweight. Suction is strong. Must change collection bin with every use. Easy to use. I suggest purchasing the device to hold it onto the wall. It falls over easily. Comes with attachments with the handheld easy to take on and off. I do notice heat coming from the handheld with use. Overall a good little vacuum for the money.

This is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned! I purchased after using one at a AirBNB and even my Daughter loves the simplicity and light weight of using it. Very versatile with all the attachments and hand held option.

Fantastic find! Performance is excellent, powerful and easy to use! Does a great job. The price was really a bargain!
As a senior citizen, I especially appreciate how lightweight and easy to handle it is.
I recommend this to anyone looking for affordable, easy to use vacuum cleaner !

I have tried many stick vacuums over the past two years, most of which have died or encountered problems. I haven’t had this one very long, but I can tell that it’s better made than those and it’s Performance was outstanding. I would highly recommend this vacuum. The cord was exceptionally long. It is easy to empty and the vacuum head is very easy to maneuver and has great suction.

I have purchased 4 of these. One for each of my houses. I have hardwood, carpet, tile and area rugs and it works great on all flooring. It is lightweight and easy to switch to a handheld quickly. It goes under things and it swivels easily. It stores in a small place and has a long cord. It is easy to empty too. I love this vacuum better than the big high end bulky one I have. Highly recommend!

The accessory tools are a real bonus with this vacuum. This has great suction and is so easy to use. It doesn’t stand alone but that’s not a big deal for me. I highly recommend this is you need a good solution to a vacuum without having to lug around a bigger canister vacuum. It stores easily using minimal space. This is a great price for this handy vacuum. I just had a knee replacement and this vacuum is so easy for me to use and still be able to keep my carpets and hardwood floors looking good.
