This temperature-controlled coffee mug is a lifesaver for busy days. My coffee stays at the perfect temp, even after endless meetings. But two design choices have me scratching my head. First, why does a mug for hot beverages come with a silicone straw? Sipping scalding coffee through a straw feels like a recipe for disaster. Second, the lid leaks, and finding a suitable replacement has been impossible. Even the manufacturer has no solutions. A great mug with some questionable quirks.

I already own 2 of the Smart mugs, which I’ve been pretty happy with. But this is even better. It holds even more and it fits in my car cup holder. The top screws on and off, much easier to remove than having to pull off a tightly sealed top. It keeps my tea hot longer, probably because of the narrower construction. I haven’t timed it, but if I keep the cap on it stays hot for many hours, at least 5 or 6. Removing the cap, or even keeping the flip cap open, definitely lowers the temperature, so keeping it closed completely as much as possible really makes a difference. If I forget and leave the cap off, and my tea gets too cool, I just put the cap back on, and wait a short while and it heats up to my preferred 145 degrees pretty quickly.
It is odd to have a straw. I think the point of the straw is that the liquid would be less likely to slosh out than having the flip cap open? if it was being jostled a lot, for example, while driving. I would never use the straw (I only like to drink very hot drinks, and the instructions say not to use the straw for higher than 113 degrees which isn’t hot enough for me) so I actually removed the straw.
I wish the lanyard was long enough for my hand to fit through, so I could carry it hands-free, but that’s a minor quibble. The textured surface does make it easy to hold.
I also wish the top was leak-free. But I know from experience that’s hard to achieve with many mugs, so I consider that also a minor quibble.
Being able to charge my phone is a lovely perk.

I absolutely love this heated travel mug! The mug holds 18 ounces of coffee and it stays at my desired temperature of 149* for my entire drive…over an hour! I recently left some coffee in the mug for several hours and when I returned it was still piping hot! The mug is easy to hold & fits nicely in my car. The mug charges easily and quickly and holds a charge for quite a long time. The fact that the charger also charges my phone is a nice touch. UPDATE: I now have 3 of these. One at home, one at my daughters and one for camping that I plug into a solar panel. I am one of those people who get up, pour a hot mug of coffee or tea and then proceed to do my online games. Sometimes it takes me a couple of hours to finish my beverage. These cups keep my drink at a perfect 138 for the entire time I am playing my games and keep my phone charged too, How great is that?

The mug is attractive, well made and innovative.
Out of the box I was impressed with the looks. It looks well made and it is. The cap screws on and off for added security and safety. It has 2 choices for drinking — a flip cap and a straw compartment with a push button flip open. The straw is centered which eliminates the concern over left hand right hand use. The coaster with built in wireless charger is great!
The cup is textured so it is easy hold. It comes with a removable carry lanyard that makes taking it along easy. The instructions are clear and concise.
I have used this for a few days and I am very happy with its performance. It keeps my beverage at temperature and brings beverages that are poured into it that are cooler up to temperature. I have a habit of making my coffee or tea and then sitting down and doing my daily games. Sometimes I get so involved that by the time I go to drink my beverage it’s cold. This mug solved that problem.
I love this so much I ordered a second one to use at my daughter’s house.
So far, my only issue is I wish the travel mug came in all the colors their other mugs do!

Can warm up cold drinks but you have to make sure to shake it to get it to stir and evenly distribute heat. Like others, I don’t love the lid/straw as it invariably spills if you try to drink without the straw. Unlike others, I like the carrying loop- I think it’s easier to carry the mug with this when your hands are otherwise full. Solid build.

The finish and quality of the M3 is really nice. Stainless interior makes it super easy to clean. It’s not heavy either. The controls are nice. And no one has mentioned it vibrates instead of beeping when you touch a button. Props on that decision! It has no issue holding the temp you set .The coaster/charger works well, and the battery life lasts me an entire shift of work. This is a well thought out and designed product at a super competitive price. I couldn’t find better. But the size is what sold me. Other brands max out at like 12-14oz. That’s barely enough to need any type of self heating! 18oz is the sweet spot for sure. I’m really happy with it and am excited to see future versions!

Purchased this mug in February of this year. I use it 3 times a week. I have not put it in the dishwasher or submerged it in soapy water. I’ve hand-washed it only. I have never dropped the tumbler. However, when attempting to turn up the temperature to anything above 95 degrees it retreats to 95 degrees. It’s essentially a Copco tumbler now, except it is far more expensive.
Update – So, I’m not sure if something short-circuited or if I didn’t read the instruction manual correctly (I’m a guy, I don’t ask for directions either lol), but when it is in the charging base I was having trouble changing the temp. It appears to be working now. It might be because I change the temp when not in the base. And I am only one person so please go by all of the reviews, not just my experience. I bumped up the rating the 3 stars. I’ll provide an update if needed.
