I’ve got this one as a replacement for my older rove that was just front camera. The quality is great. This time I actually used the included tool and ran the cable underneath the car ceiling. There’s a lot of cable for the back camera. Image is great, software is straight forward, user friendly. The app works well. You can cycle your video screen between front, rear or picture and picture. I just plugged it in the charger, but the wire kit looks pretty good as well. You get GPS, speed on screen and cardinal points. All in all I recommend it.

I bought 2 …. they were easy to setup in the house (about 1 hr for the first one and 20 minutes for the second one) before going into the vehicles … user manual well written … with intuitive prompts on the cameras… located below the rear view mirrors as they are small enough so no view obstruction.. once mounted it took about 1.5 hours each for the vehicles … very good display … only CAUTION … if you use your iPhone port or cigarette lighter port which are live whether or not the vehicle is on or not the camera will stay powered up even if the vehicle is off … so you would have to buy the hard-wire $45 kit … I decided to just turn off the unit when I leave the vehicle … lucky my wife’s vehicle is older Rouge so cigarette lighter is only powered when car is on …. worth the piece of mind with all of the challenges on the roads to-day ….

So many products these days make me feel like I’m getting ripped off. Like, I want/need a widget, it just feels a little too expensive, but hey I’ll buy it anyway because I want/need it, right? I’ll get my widget, open the packaging, and be instantly unimpressed… The packaging is cheap, the build quality is poor—just overall leaves a bad taste in my mouth (especially because I wasn’t totally convinced on the price in the first place). I can safely say this is 99% of my consumer experience with most products.
I got my Rove dashcam and was instantly impressed.
-Packaging is solid down to the plastic they use to hold each part! The box is something I’ll be saving for knick-knacks and whatnots -Love, love, love that it came with an installation tool 🔥 . I hate cables and their messy aesthetic, so took extra care to hide mine. Again, a lot of widgets won’t bother with these little extras that make all the difference -User manual is on point. So many widgets come with manuals that leave me more confused than if I had nothing at all. Rove’s is comprehensive and it gave me confidence in the product itself -Set up was super easy. Scroll through the menus and you’re good to go. Extra points for the included SD card! -Works on start up straight out of the box with legit picture quality -(I will try and remember to update after a few months of use to comment on recording properties)
My only gripe, and this is a me thing, I wish the cable from cam to USB port was a couple feet longer. Perfect length to the dash port, but I want to plug mine in the center console under my arm rest… Just a couple feet too short for that 🤷. ***If you’re like me and need a cable that’s a little longer, take note that you get one rated with proper wattage.
I will 100% recommend Rove to anyone looking for a quality dashcam.

I bought this on sale and was very surprised how easy it was to get started. Great video that downloads to your phone in seconds. You have front videos. Rear Videos and single photos to choose from the memory card. I play back the 4K videos on a computer monitor and the quality is fantastic. I checked around several shops and they all wanted almost $300 to install this front/rear camera, I was shocked at that price and decided to try it myself. Very easy to tuck in the wires so you don’t see anything. The hard part is to HARD WIRE this unit to your fuse panel. You have to purchase the ROVE hard wire kit which basically has 3 wires to connect. One constant hot. One hot with the key on and a ground. You have to hardwire the unit if you want to take advantage of the parking/surveillance and G sensor features. I ran into a problem with my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee the fuse box is under the front hood. There are no interior fuse locations. You would have to run the wires through the fire wall into the hood. Crazy. Maybe that’s why it is so expensive. If you have a normal car with a fuse box in the interior of your car the hardwire kit is a must. I ended up getting a OBD2 – to USB type C connector cord. $30.00 The OBD2 connector is the small 16 pin connector on the drives side that mechanics use to OBD (onboard diagnostics port) That jumper cord has only 3 pins in it (2 ground pins and one constant hot) . The camera is great. My installation problems are from my car and not this product.

I installed these front and rear cameras in my 2021 Honda CR-V. The cord that connects the two cameras is *just* long enough when installed the way the video shows you to install. The the power cable that connects from the front camera to the car had good length.
Pros: -starts up almost immediately after I turn on the car -seemingly clear video/photos, even at night – has the option to turn on/off the microphone/audio -easily connects to cell phone to download videos, quick and efficient -easy to mount with plenty of tools, adhesives, and QR codes. -peace of mind
Cons -definitely not 4K video. Yes, the picture is clear when recording- but unless the license plate of the car in front or behind you is within 5 feet of the camera, you won’t be able to read it on the video or a stillframe. -The buttons each have too many functions, need the manual to know what button does what -the time stamp on the camera has moved ahead 4 minutes in the past 2 months. I need to go back into settings to correct the time -neither camera is very wide-angle. The read camera shows you what is directly behind you. The front camera is basically edge of hood to edge of hood, no further.
Overall, I’m not sure I’d buy this again. I think I’d prefer something with a wider angle on both cameras, and better quality when zooming in on the video. If someone hits me and runs, it’s very unlikely I’ll have a clear shot of their license plate. But, for the cost, I am happy with it and don’t plan on buying a new one for a long time.

So far, so good. Installation went smoothly, seems to be working fine. Mostly intuitive but there are a few things in the app that aren’t straightforward. I plan on doing a little research and look for some tutorials. My only complaints thus far is that this is fake 4K, it’s really only 2K and upscales. I wish I realized this before purchasing and installing. Calling it 4K is a little misleading. I also don’t love that it doesn’t have voice commands. My son can tell his dashcam to save and it will flag what was just recorded. I don’t like that this cannot be done until you stop.

I have owned Garmin, Rexing and Thinkware cams in past. I now own 3 Rove Dual 2-4k cams. What a difference! I’ve paid a lot more $$ for other brands and they simply don’t compare. Rove pic quality is the best! Interface is easy/simple. Install easy and unlike my experience with other brands the app is extremely fast to share, download and review. I initially did not hardwire any because I thought it would be difficult. It was not and now I have parking mode in all 3 of my vehicles. Dont be fooled by low cost…they are amazing cams!

Excellent quality and so happy with this product that I bought it 3 times for family vehicles. Super intuitive and easy setup, ready to go out of the box and works awesome. From what I know, this is most definitely among the best budget options for anyone looking for a dual front and rear dashcams.
The Customer Service is also super helpful and responsive if you ever need any support.
The only improvement I would make personally is to include more cable hiding clips. 5 doesn’t cut it. 10 would be more optimal as to be able to neatly tuck in the cables without worrying about running out midway.

Quality camera with lots of extra features. The clarity on the camera recording is excellent. It comes with a proper manual, not one of those two inch versions you cannot read. You will need to follow directions in order to set it up as it can get confusing. It records in front of you and has a camera you set on the back window to record vehicles coming up from behind you. Quality is seen overall with this camera. Older people/seniors might find it harder to set up but if you follow instructions and read what the buttons do on the camera, you should make out ok. Know you have to purchase the parking sensor separately if you want the camera to record while parked. This feature works on impact jarring in areas like parking lots or underground parking. I would recommend the camera as it does record great quality recordings. Had no issues with the seller and everything promised, came. Turns on automatically when the key is on and shuts off once you open the doors, as to not drain the battery. These days, dash cameras are a must have because there are too many reckless drivers out there and if a cop accuses you on running a red light or not stopping, you can refer to the recorded evidence you now have.

We purchased the ROVE R2-4K Dual Dash Cam for our work truck while doing overnight security patrols. It’s currently being used during patrol shifts and will also stay in our truck when we travel with our travel trailer.
The setup instructions were clear and easy to follow. The video quality is impressive — the 4K front camera produces sharp, full-color footage that makes details easy to see, even at night. The rear camera also provides good coverage. The mount feels stable and hasn’t shifted during normal driving.
We’ve been using it for about two months now, and it has been running consistently without any glitches or recording issues. One feature we especially like is the built-in WiFi and phone app, which allows you to review and download footage directly to your phone without removing the card. The included 128GB memory card was also a nice bonus.
It also offers options for GPS, speed display, and interior recording depending on how you want to configure it.
One limitation is that the dash cam WiFi can compete with your vehicle’s WiFi when pairing to the phone, which can take a moment to sort out.
Overall, this has been a solid dash cam so far with clear video and useful features for both work and travel.

The only flaw in my opinion is that you can only turn ALL visible icons are leave them ALL on, you can’t pick and chose. I would like to only have the speed and the directional compass on and turn everything else.. but that’s just me. I would also like to have the ability to view, download videos remotely buts that not an option. This can only be done when your with about 10 feet of the car and it’s turn on.

Installation was so simple. They give you the tool to hide the wires. I do advise buying the hardware kit and a larger memory card 128 gb is only good for 3 hours. It is very easy to setup and use. I love using the app super easy to change your settings and view and delete videos. Also great for parking mode because with the hardware kit it has a shutoff so it does not drain your battery! My previous Rove dash cam lasted about 5 years, and it was a hard 5 years for it. I only used the window suction cup thing to attach to the windshield so it wasn’t “permanent,” and it was always flying off, rightfully so, when it was too hot/cold/bumpy… so it took a LOT of abuse, smashing against my doors/dash. I was content with how long it lasted – I don’t expect any tech devices to last longer than 5 years at this point. Given I had a good experience with that one, I decided to upgrade to a new Rove dash cam.
Enter the Rove R2-4K Dual. I figured it would be cool to have the rear view as well this time around. Picture is nice, setup is very quick and easy. The app is definitely an improvement over the last one on my older Rove dash cam. The price point is great for someone looking to get a decent quality dash cam for some added protection.
I started having issues with screen flashing and then startup issues, where it wouldn’t load the picture and just get stuck on the home/loading screen with the Rove logo. It was spotty and fixed itself, so I just kept chugging along. After a few months, it was a daily occurrence… the troubleshooting I found online didn’t fix it, so I reached out to Rove. The customer support was very quick to respond, very thorough, and very easy to troubleshoot with. I did everything they asked, but was still having issues. Since it was most likely an internal issue, they replaced my unit with a new one! I appreciate the responsiveness of the support team, and the fact that they stand by their product means a lot.
Even though I had an issue, I would still recommend this product. Manufacturing issues happen. Software issues happen. Hardware issues happen. That’s just life with all of our disposable gadgets… BUT I give Rove a lot of credit for providing the support that they do and for standing behind their product to resolve issues like this. I have had zero issues so far with the new unit, and hopefully we stay that way! I haven’t experienced any flashing or startup issues, so I think this one is good to go. There would have been signs by now.

Cable length is more than enough to go from front to back along the headliner in the suv, and I was able to run the cable down the a-pillar and along the sill plates up the c-pillar with plenty of room to spare in the car. I installed these front and rear cameras in my 2021 Honda CR-V. The cord that connects the two cameras is *just* long enough when installed the way the video shows you to install. The the power cable that connects from the front camera to the car had good length.
Pros:
-starts up almost immediately after I turn on the car
-seemingly clear video/photos, even at night
– has the option to turn on/off the microphone/audio
-easily connects to cell phone to download videos, quick and efficient
-easy to mount with plenty of tools, adhesives, and QR codes.

Cons
-definitely not 4K video. Yes, the picture is clear when recording- but unless the license plate of the car in front or behind you is within 5 feet of the camera, you won’t be able to read it on the video or a stillframe.
-The buttons each have too many functions, need the manual to know what button does what
-the time stamp on the camera has moved ahead 4 minutes in the past 2 months. I need to go back into settings to correct the time
-neither camera is very wide-angle. The read camera shows you what is directly behind you. The front camera is basically edge of hood to edge of hood, no further.
Overall, I’m not sure I’d buy this again. I think I’d prefer something with a wider angle on both cameras, and better quality when zooming in on the video. If someone hits me and runs, it’s very unlikely I’ll have a clear shot of their license plate. But, for the cost, I am happy with it and don’t plan on buying a new one for a long time.

So far, so good. Installation went smoothly, seems to be working fine. Mostly intuitive but there are a few things in the app that aren’t straightforward. I plan on doing a little research and look for some tutorials. My only complaints thus far is that this is fake 4K, it’s really only 2K and upscales. I wish I realized this before purchasing and installing. Calling it 4K is a little misleading. I also don’t love that it doesn’t have voice commands. My son can tell his dashcam to save and it will flag what was just recorded. I don’t like that this cannot be done until you stop.

I have owned Garmin, Rexing and Thinkware cams in past. I now own 3 Rove Dual 2-4k cams. What a difference! I’ve paid a lot more $$ for other brands and they simply don’t compare. Rove pic quality is the best! Interface is easy/simple. Install easy and unlike my experience with other brands the app is extremely fast to share, download and review. I initially did not hardwire any because I thought it would be difficult. It was not and now I have parking mode in all 3 of my vehicles. Dont be fooled by low cost…they are amazing cams!

Excellent quality and so happy with this product that I bought it 3 times for family vehicles. Super intuitive and easy setup, ready to go out of the box and works awesome. From what I know, this is most definitely among the best budget options for anyone looking for a dual front and rear dashcams.
The Customer Service is also super helpful and responsive if you ever need any support.
The only improvement I would make personally is to include more cable hiding clips. 5 doesn’t cut it. 10 would be more optimal as to be able to neatly tuck in the cables without worrying about running out midway.

Quality camera with lots of extra features. The clarity on the camera recording is excellent. It comes with a proper manual, not one of those two inch versions you cannot read. You will need to follow directions in order to set it up as it can get confusing. It records in front of you and has a camera you set on the back window to record vehicles coming up from behind you. Quality is seen overall with this camera.
Older people/seniors might find it harder to set up but if you follow instructions and read what the buttons do on the camera, you should make out ok. Know you have to purchase the parking sensor separately if you want the camera to record while parked. This feature works on impact jarring in areas like parking lots or underground parking. I would recommend the camera as it does record great quality recordings. Had no issues with the seller and everything promised, came. Turns on automatically when the key is on and shuts off once you open the doors, as to not drain the battery. These days, dash cameras are a must have because there are too many reckless drivers out there and if a cop accuses you on running a red light or not stopping, you can refer to the recorded evidence you now have.

Does everything that you want it to do and then some. works great. What is really impressive is that they have anticipated every installation option and provide all the accessories needed to be able to do it. Provide a suction mount they don’t recommend for permanent installation, but enables you to move it around for best location without wasting time and material in the process. Their manual is very good, comprehensive and easy to understand and follow. Their Customer Service is outstanding. Had a question and asked to be called back and he did and on time.

We purchased the ROVE R2-4K Dual Dash Cam for our work truck while doing overnight security patrols. It’s currently being used during patrol shifts and will also stay in our truck when we travel with our travel trailer.
The setup instructions were clear and easy to follow. The video quality is impressive — the 4K front camera produces sharp, full-color footage that makes details easy to see, even at night. The rear camera also provides good coverage. The mount feels stable and hasn’t shifted during normal driving.
We’ve been using it for about two months now, and it has been running consistently without any glitches or recording issues. One feature we especially like is the built-in WiFi and phone app, which allows you to review and download footage directly to your phone without removing the card. The included 128GB memory card was also a nice bonus.
It also offers options for GPS, speed display, and interior recording depending on how you want to configure it.
One limitation is that the dash cam WiFi can compete with your vehicle’s WiFi when pairing to the phone, which can take a moment to sort out.
Overall, this has been a solid dash cam so far with clear video and useful features for both work and travel.

Great camera, easy to install and easy to use. Plenty of cable to run both cameras front and back then to power source. My turns on automatically when I open the door and starts recording. The only flaw in my opinion is that you can only turn ALL visible icons are leave them ALL on, you can’t pick and chose. I would like to only have the speed and the directional compass on and turn everything else.. but that’s just me. I would also like to have the ability to view, download videos remotely buts that not an option. This can only be done when your with about 10 feet of the car and it’s turn on.

Installation was so simple. They give you the tool to hide the wires. I do advise buying the hardware kit and a larger memory card 128 gb is only good for 3 hours. It is very easy to setup and use. I love using the app super easy to change your settings and view and delete videos. Also great for parking mode because with the hardware kit it has a shutoff so it does not drain your battery! Thank you for making a nice plug and play system!

My previous Rove dash cam lasted about 5 years, and it was a hard 5 years for it. I only used the window suction cup thing to attach to the windshield so it wasn’t “permanent,” and it was always flying off, rightfully so, when it was too hot/cold/bumpy… so it took a LOT of abuse, smashing against my doors/dash. I was content with how long it lasted – I don’t expect any tech devices to last longer than 5 years at this point. Given I had a good experience with that one, I decided to upgrade to a new Rove dash cam.
Enter the Rove R2-4K Dual. I figured it would be cool to have the rear view as well this time around. Picture is nice, setup is very quick and easy. The app is definitely an improvement over the last one on my older Rove dash cam. The price point is great for someone looking to get a decent quality dash cam for some added protection.
I started having issues with screen flashing and then startup issues, where it wouldn’t load the picture and just get stuck on the home/loading screen with the Rove logo. It was spotty and fixed itself, so I just kept chugging along. After a few months, it was a daily occurrence… the troubleshooting I found online didn’t fix it, so I reached out to Rove. The customer support was very quick to respond, very thorough, and very easy to troubleshoot with. I did everything they asked, but was still having issues. Since it was most likely an internal issue, they replaced my unit with a new one! I appreciate the responsiveness of the support team, and the fact that they stand by their product means a lot.
Even though I had an issue, I would still recommend this product. Manufacturing issues happen. Software issues happen. Hardware issues happen. That’s just life with all of our disposable gadgets… BUT I give Rove a lot of credit for providing the support that they do and for standing behind their product to resolve issues like this. I have had zero issues so far with the new unit, and hopefully we stay that way! I haven’t experienced any flashing or startup issues, so I think this one is good to go. There would have been signs by now.

Easy setup. Excellent instructions. Great value for the price. I purchased two, and have installed one in an suv and the other in a car. Cable length is more than enough to go from front to back along the headliner in the suv, and I was able to run the cable down the a-pillar and along the sill plates up the c-pillar with plenty of room to spare in the car. Picture quality is excellent.
