I wish I could say these were worth the price but truly they were unremarkable. I was excited to receive them and put them up, and when they arrived I will say the amount of attachments and materials you get is impressive. The length of the lights is very accurate and very easy to assemble and slap right up. But functionality wise not great, even on the highest setting these are very dim and barely illuminate anything obviously I don’t want the whole area to look to bright but these are just decorative at this point. They also randomly flicker sometimes but I will say when they charge they stay lit up the whole 8 hours I have them set to so that is nice.

Understand what you are receiving with these – accent lights that can provide some lighting for the darkest of yards. They also provide a ton of lighting for my wifi security cameras. I have the solar panel on the fence pointed towards a fairly ideal angle for daytime sun and haven’t had any issues with charging.

These solar lights are , in my opinion, perfect. Not only do they look and work great but there are so many great features included. The one I liked the most was the clip that came with it so I didn’t have to worry about how I was going to make the solar screen work and if it would reach the ground from my raised deck which made installation a breeze.. Also the zip ties provided was an added bonus as was the remote. This company put a lot of thought into their design and customers. I absolutely 100% recommend buying this product.
our deck measurements are, left side 17 ft, back side 14 ft and a short right side at 6 ft. Each lightbus spaced about 36 in apart.

These Brightown solar string lights have been such a great addition to my outdoor space. They’re long‑lasting, and the lights truly stay on all night, even after cloudy days. I also really love the classic, timeless look — they add a cozy charm without feeling too flashy.
They’re bright enough to see what you’re doing, but not so bright that they take away from the peaceful nighttime atmosphere. It’s the perfect balance for relaxing evenings outside.
Overall, they’re reliable, stylish, and create just the right mood.

These lights are so bright and beautiful. They are a really good price. They are made well. Easy to install and has a timer. It’s solar so let the sun do its job and enjoy the lifts. Definitely will be ordering another set. Also has great customer service

So happy with these! I have a very long balcony that takes up the entire front of my house and the string lights that I had up previously were just not quite long enough to cover the entire distance. These are long enough to go that and more. I prefer solar when it comes to almost everything I have outside. So these solar string lights are exactly what I needed.
I was able to install the solar panel up along the roof line and run the lights along the underneath of the overhang.
I get a ton of sun where I placed the solar panel and they charged up really great. The really long winter days in Canada are a challenge for most of my solar lights, but these held their own pretty well. Especially if you keep them at a dimmer brightness, which I do.
The remote control is an absolute joy to have. There’s nothing like having to open the balcony and trudge through deep snow to get to the controls if something malfunctions with my other solar lights. I have had to do that with a different set of string lights that I have across my window. For some reason the pattern changes on its own and they start flashing. Then I need to trudge out in the snow and figure it out. I can do everything I need from inside with the remote control for these.
These are my favorite solar lights so far.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = I love it and/or it meets or exceeds claims.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Hey, this is pretty great. Meets claims, but may be slightly lacking in non-critical area.
⭐⭐⭐ = Meh. It’s okay but I don’t love it. Someone might like it. Falls short in a more noticeable area or not for everyone.
⭐⭐ = Not great. Best to avoid. Very noticeable shortcomings or issues.
⭐ = Nope. This is bad. Does not meet claims or is harmful in some way.

These are nice lights, just not super bright. The 50ft length was perfect for my needs, and the systems seems durable and will last a long time for sure. The solar panel comes with a clip and spike, so you can attach it to something, or place it on a ground stake in the yard. I clipped the panel to the edge of my gutter on the corner of my patio roof, and it lit up to charge immediately. It didn’t take long for the red charging light to turn green in direct sunlight. I used hooks and zip ties to hang these over my outdoor patio for ambient lighting, and even at 100% they’re not very bright at all. They’re more of a mood lighting than functional lighting. The remote is useful, but the manual button located on the solar panel took some learning. You have to manually turn the lights on with the switch before using the remote, so if you install first, make sure you can still access the panel to push the button. Install is super easy, there is no wiring to do other than connecting the solar panel lead to the lights. They’ve been out in the rain and weather, including tornado strength winds and downpours, and they’re still in perfect condition and completely waterproof to this point. I’ll probably move these to another location where lighting isn’t as necessary, and get a wired/brighter version for lighting my patio.

I picked these up to add some ambient lighting outdoors, and I am very happy with them. The material is actually of a higher quality than even some of the standard 120V plug-in light strings I have used in the past.
Here is a breakdown of why these are a great addition to your patio or backyard:
The Dual-Charging Solar Panel
The little solar panel is well-designed, but the standout feature is the built-in USB-C charging port. When I first received these lights, the battery was completely dead. Instead of having to wait for a full sunny day to get them working, I was able to just plug them into a USB wall charger to juice them up immediately.
Brightness and Ambiance Expectations
Because this is a solar-powered string, it is important to set your expectations correctly. These are not going to be as bright as a heavy-duty 120V plug-in set. However, they provide the perfect amount of warm, ambient light for decorating a fence, pergola, or seating area where you just need a comfortable glow rather than harsh floodlighting.
Shatterproof Durability
Another huge plus is the construction of the bulbs themselves. They are made of durable plastic, which means if the wind knocks them against a post or you drop the string while hanging them, they won’t break and leave dangerous shards of glass all over your deck or lawn. They also thoughtfully include a spare bulb in the box just in case.
The Verdict
If you need some decorative outdoor lighting but don’t want to run extension cords everywhere, this is a fantastic, durable set. Very happy with these!

I’m so happy with these patio lights already and they’re not even up yet! The fact that they’re solar-powered is what sold me. I love not having to worry about running extension cords across the deck or increasing my electricity bill. The dual solar/USB charging option is such a smart touch too, especially for those cloudy stretches. They came with everything needed for mounting, which I really appreciate. The automatic on/off feature is another big plus.
Now I’m just impatiently waiting for the snow to melt so I can string them up on my deck and fully enjoy them. I already know they’re going to make summer evenings outside feel so cozy.
