At first I was a little unsure because I made the mistake of not reading product details and he is plastic. Also, you can see the seem from his leg to his body which is the reason for one star missing. Other than that, I am obsessed with this lamp. I’m an artist and needed a desk lamp for my art space and this is perfect. It’s nice and bright and doesn’t cast weird shadows since the bulb is exposed. I work for hours sometimes and the bulb stays nice and cool to the touch. There’s an easy flip switch to turn it on and off. The bulb stays in place. Plus he just is super fun and moody and cool looking. He’s very sturdy even though he’s pretty lightweight.

I have been interested in getting a lamp like this for awhile now & when this went on-sale I impulsively purchased it. It didn’t work out for me, however…. the cord is so short, I would have to attach an extension cord to it to use it unless I was operating only a few feet from an outlet. This extension cord would hang down & look horrid dangling against the wall. Also, the raven is very cheapy/plastic-y, I really would spend bigger bucks to get a heavier metal version of this lamp if it existed & didn’t cost hundreds of dollars. Additionally, the cord kept falling out of the ravens mouth, plus the light bulb was a wimpy dim thing….. I was going to purpose this lamp as a grow-lamp for over my plants but a regular grow-light bulb wouldn’t work. I dislike leaving less than favorable reviews but the sheer consumerism — sell at all costs/offer no quality — is so tiresome to us consumers watching their buying dollar & hoping for a decent outcome. Anyhoo, this would make a cute lamp for a corner where all this stuff doesn’t matter, just didn’t work out for me.

The media could not be loaded.
As soon as I tried putting the cord in his mouth, the beak broke. I glued the tip back on, but you can see the hole. I can’t fix that because the rest of it crumbled. It’s cute, but making the beak hollow knowing pressure has to be put on it to get the cord in there is not good product design. It’s just like the picture and I love it a lot, but just wish it was made better especially for the price.

Beautiful but crows foot was broken off inside the package. So upsetting. Could see that when packed it was jammed in so hard the claws had pierced the bottom of the styrofoam packing. I hate the fact I have to CARRY to Staples to send back or PAY for shipping to get a replacement. Yay
