Keeps the sun out, but not without smacking my passenger in the face four to seven times like some kind of antisocial umbrella in the process of unfurling the confounded thing. Clearly designed for people with massive pickup trucks and no friends. Can’t relate as I drive a small hatchback with a massive windshield and have hundreds of friends.

Hey now, this is what I’m talking about for a good custom fitting windshield shade! It’s a perfect fit for my transit connect, really sturdy feeling, and immediately I felt cooler as I installed it mid day, in the hot sun… what better test could I do? Well this passes with flying colors. Tha material is a strong fabric, similar to a motorcycle cover material, durable and looks great too. Comes with a pouch for storage. I love this.

I had to adjust the opening that goes around the rearview mirror. I cut the opening and then sewed black bias tape on it so the windshield cover would fit our 2025 Ford Maverick. The opening was not deep enough to fit the windshield in its original condition. Now it fits nicely and perfect for reducing glare and the heat of the sun. Easy to install after the adjustment and easy to fold and put away in the convenient pouch. Color reflects the sun away and darkens the interior. Seems durable.

Update: 3.5 stars. THe fit is VERY snug & you need to get it in all the tight corners. Pro to that is very little sun gets through therefore it protects more. Con is that it’s not as easy to just pop it in & leave & a bit time consuming. I gave it 1 more star but think thats a bit generous. Still a decent sturdy product.
The fit is too big but it squeezes in. Seems nice & sturdy but folds down to a nice compact round & the bag it comes in nice. But its still a bit big for the new body style 25 tiguan.

Product works very well, covers the window completely, but it is a fight to get it opened up and in the window every time. In the small space of the front seat I have now become somewhat afraid to open the sunshade. I have been punched in the face, chopped in the throat, slapped across the cheek, and have had to cowar as close to the window as I can to protect myself every day since its arrival. It does it’s job effectively and blocks the sun well, keeping my car cooler than it would be without, and prevents my legs from being burned from the heat of the seats on a hot southern day….but at what cost? I will still use it, and I do recommend you but it, but I also recommend that you work on some lightning fast reflexes, or be taller than me so your seat can be far from the steering wheel, allowing adequate room to remove the sunshade from its packaging for window placement. I would give it a higher rating if I didn’t fear for my personal safety every time I get it out.

I’ve been using an old set of two smaller window shades and they were a pain in the butt. They didn’t like to stay put and were difficult to twist down to put in their bag. This one, being one piece, is so much easier! The strap that goes around the rearview mirror is great, it holds it in place while you tuck the edges in. Coverage is perfect, the whole window is covered and it’s very reflective so it keeps the inside of my car MUCH cooler! That’s an important feature in the South in summer. It also folds back up and fits in its bag with no issues. I would definitely buy it again if I needed to.

This is the best windshield cover we’ve had. My husband liked mine so much, he bought one for himself. Fit great in our 2005 and 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 trucks. One piece instead of two that folds in the middle when storing and a strap with Velcro closure for the rear view mirror.

The sunshade works well for my car. It does reduce the inside temperature when the car is parked under a bright sunny day. The windshield coverage is good (barely any gaps on the side), but you must use the sun visor to hold the sunshade.
