I love me some Le Creuset. If I had lots of money, I’d own a lot more of their stuff, from pots and pans to tea cups, etc. In fact, I’m really bummed that Le Creuset stopped making their special tea mugs, but that’s a story for a different day.
Today is all about the 20 oz. Le Creuset Stoneware Signature Oil Cruet in the famous Marseille blue color. So why do you need an oil cruet? The answer is that you don’t need it. I made it a significant way through life without ever having one. But then I got one and I absolutely love it. I cook with oil a lot. So much that I don’t put it away between meals because it’s just more efficient to have it handy. While that’s fine with a small bottle of oil, if you buy bigger bottles, you don’t want a 32 oz. jug of olive oil living and taking up space on your counter. You need something to which to store your smaller portion, like this cruet. It holds 20 oz., which is just the perfect size to cover you for several meals and it’s easy to handle the bottle. It has a good heft to it, so you aren’t going to accidentally knock it over just by touching it. It comes with a stopper and pour spout that keeps everything nice and neat.
Best of all, it just looks great–so much nicer than a bottle with a label on it. Nice stoneware with a beautiful blue finish. It comes other colors as well, so you can match it to your kitchen decor. It also keeps you oil out of sunlight and at a relatively stable temperature (unless you put it next to a heat source, which you should never do anyway), so it really preserves the taste of your oil. Overall, I really couldn’t be happier with this cruet: works great and looks great. It’s a definite buy for me.

Terrible Quality. The lid on the spout fell off almost immediately after I opened the box. I re-attached and it fell off again. Paper thin metal. For a premium brand at a premium price, it’s a complete waste of money. Absolute junk.

It passed thru Customs for an Inspection. I can see why: under xray the solid bottle and metal pouring spout, must have looked suspicious.
The fragile cruet was packed with genuine care. I’m thinking Customs took it out of the bubble wrap and just put the Le Crueset box alongside the packing materials.
The journey took about a week, even with its trip to Customs.
Now I have a beautiful orange Le Crueset oil cruet. Its a discontinued color known as Flame.
I recommend this Seller.

Exact same problem as others have shared. The cap for the spout arrived broken off. I found this on the bottom of the product’s packaging. The hinge is missing one of the pins that would connect it to the spout. Clearly extremely poor quality in the Thailand manufacturing. This is a premium brand. Let’s hope Amazon will inspect the replacement before delivering it.
