I have never seen a bottle/jar opener like this one, but it works really well. The plastic handles are comfortable and easy to grip and it fits many sizes of jars and bottles. It does take up a bit of space in the utensil drawer, but saves a lot of frustration when dealing with hard to open containers. I would purchase it again.

This jar opener for exceeded my expectations! Makes it easy to open any kind of jar. It works so good, that I bought one for my 94-year-old mother and she raves about it too.

This is great! I have tried other openers which were just okay, but this is the BEST! It works like a charm and is easy to use. My husband with Parkinson’s can now open jars easily! I love how easy it is to put around jars and use. With the opener having a two level grip makes it hold jars securely while you hold the jar in the other hand. Then grip the handle to let the jar just “pop” with a twist. With having spots to fit various sizes of jars, I not found a jar that it cannot accommodate. It also has a handy bottle opener on the top. I have had it for over a year and I think it is one of best tools we have bought for my husband’s Parkinson’s. It is also great for arthritis and my weak hands.

Have had hand surgery on both hands. This opener actually works and is sturdy. Easy to use. The price is well worth it.

Best jar opener I have ever owned! Opens all size jars and bottles. It’s particularly handy for those small cartons that broth and shakes come in. I love the pull tab opener especially on cans of tuna and salmon. I no longer break my fingernails trying to open those cans! This 77-year-old senior highly recommends this product.

My wife and I are in our 70’s, active but have some arthritis. Well one of her friends with thumb issues bought one of these, really liked it and gave my wife one as a Christmas gift. My wife tried it last week. She loves it and one day saw me struggling to open a jar. My thumb was already killing me but I was too macho to stop struggling. Thankfully my wife stopped me and easily opened that jar in a second while smiling at me! This thing works so good I ordered 2 more to make them available wherever we could use them to save our thumbs! Get one ASAP and stop hurting your hands!!!

Love this tool, but wished it could expand a little bit larger. It has a 3 inch limit, so it won’t fit over a sauerkraut or pickle jar. Easy to use. Handsome design.

This opener worked fine on large bottles, but when I got to smaller caps, such as those on bottled water, it didn’t work at all, and I had to switch to a different opener. I do like the can opener, but this really isn’t versatile enough if you want just one “tough bottle opener” to meet your needs. I really didn’t need another one that was not as good as my original opener.

This will definitely ‘stop the struggle.’ Why fight opening įars (even if you can prevail) when you don’t need to? Just make your life easier – this gadget definitely will. Accommodates different size jars, and assists w/prying lids and pop-tabs as well. This is a must for anyone w/ a weak or weakening grip.

I have arthritis in both hands which makes it a little difficult to open bottles and cans sometimes. This gadget will definitely help you get a grip so that you can open whatever you need. What I don’t like is that you can’t open cans unless it has the tab on the top. You have to use a regular can opener. The plastic is heavy duty I believe it’s going to be very durable and it does the job.

Such a great tool for those who have lost some of the strength in their hands, also for anyone who just wants an easy way to open things. After struggling for awhile now, I purchased this and it is a life saver. Great product and so easy to use.

Wonderful, easy to use opener for my arthritic hands. Haven’t used that long and I use one part of the opener most often, the next to smallest end. It’s already and unexpectedly flaking, and leaves little red plastic flakes all over, some bigger than others. My pics don’t show this too well, but you can see where it’s worn in a couple of spots and where it flakes off on the cap and usually then my counter. Flakes sometimes make it into my beverages. Still very new too. Otherwise love it, but will see what happens when it’s totally worn out in a month or two!!

Good jar cap opener. I like the size options and watched customer videos to see it working. It’s good help for my sprained thumb guessing hurt from straining at jar lids. Flimsy rund pads are not effective and heating jar lids with hot water, banging lids with spoon handles. I tried to make my own jar opener with metal parts, but not effective enough. I’m wearing a thumb support recently ordered from Amazon, and hurt thumb again trying to open a stubborn jar cap to order the Otstar Opener. As soon as it was delivered, I tested it to work well on screwed on caps, but not push down safety caps/lids like on supplement jar in attached photos. To show jar lid in second photo, I propped up new opener with an empty jar.

I bought this as sometimes bottles are difficult to open. WOW!! THIS THING IS AMAZING! Opened an unwrapped champagne bottle. Piece if cake! Progressive openings allow you to choose the one closet your bottle or cap. Squeeze and it comes right off with minimal effort.
If grip strength is eluding you, or you find larger lids difficult to grip, then this is a must for every kitchen

The first thing that we used this in was a glass jar of magnesium tablets. My wife couldn’t budge the cap. So she tried the opener. She was able to twist it loose easily. It it easy to handle and feels solid not flimsy. Well worth the cost.

This is the best jar/bottle opener that I have found. I am a Senior and bottles are harder for me to open. I’ve tried several different types and this is the most useful. This opener is easy to grip and easy to place around the bottle neck. It has worked on most bottles and jars except for very large mouth jars (such as pickle jars). My husband is very impressed with it and uses it often. I’ve found this gadget so useful that I’ve even bought some to give to family members!

I have arthritis in my hands, and opening jars has become increasingly difficult. I decided to try this inexpensive jar opener, and it has been a game changer.

I’ve been using it on jars of all sizes—from very small lids to large, stubborn ones—and it works incredibly well. The design allows you to get a solid grip on the lid, making it much easier to twist and open without straining your hands. What used to be frustrating is now effortless.

Pros: inexpensive, cost-effective, works on multiple jar sizes

    Cons: none so far

Tips: Make sure you match the lid size to the correct opening on the device for the best grip and easiest results.

Overall: High value and highly recommended—especially for anyone with arthritis or reduced hand strength.

Works well, however a bit less “user friendly” than I’d like.

Purchased specifically for jarred sauces – so lids that are approximately 3″ wide at the top. It does work, but to stretch this device wide enough (in order to get around just a 3″ size lid) takes a LOT of strength as well as being awkward. So, you need 2 hands plus keeping the jar still so the jar doesn’t slide.

Assuming you are purchasing this item due to arthritis, I’d call it more than awkward. I literally had to enlist help from the significant other in order to fit it on a 3″ size sauce jar. This meant I could have simply asked him open the jar without using this item at all.

I bought this almost 2 years ago and have tried to use it ever since but it was not a good purchase for me. It requires strength I don’t have in my arthritic wrists, is awkward, bulky and takes up too much drawer space so is headed for the donation bin. I have better luck (but struggle unsuccessfully most of the time) with a little rubber mat. (I believe they have modified the design a bit since my purchase but that wouldn’t solve the intrinsic problem).
Before I moved I had a metal V shaped device with little teeth that mounted under my cabinet which could handle pretty much anything from very small to quite large. The difference is it doesn’t require squeezing AND twisting. Mine was the super simple variety (found on an arthritic supplies website but also offered on Amazon). If I didn’t live in an apartment now that doesn’t allow installing things I’d go back to that in an instant.

This has been GREAT for my grandma with RA. It’s portable, durable & works fairly well for poor hand strength! When she is having a flare up, she does struggle to grip & turn the tool, but still is able to use it.

This jar opener has been such a helpful tool in my kitchen. It gives a really secure grip on the lid, and I don’t have to struggle or strain my hands anymore trying to open tight jars. The handle is comfortable to hold, and it makes opening things feel much easier.

I also like that it works on different lid sizes, so I don’t need multiple tools. It feels sturdy and well made, and it’s simple to use without any complicated setup.

If you’ve ever struggled with stubborn jars, this makes the process so much easier. I’m really glad I bought it and use it all the time.
