This product isn’t the toughest piece of kitchen equipment you will ever own, but it sure is one of the handiest. I have always hated peeling potatoes, and then I started having bad arthritis pain in my hands and wrists and could barely get one peeled in ten minutes. I ordered this, not really expecting it to work that well. I was shocked at how easily I was able to get the potatoes on it and the speed at which the potatoes were peeled. I absolutely love it.

I love this veggie and fruit peeler. I had to peal and cut all the apples from my tree this year and usually it takes days but this peeler cut my time down to hours. My daughter quickly learned to use it and she peeled while I cleaned them up and cut them. It does leave some peel on the top and bottom that needs to be cleaned up and around any bruises or odd spots but still was quicker than peeling myself. I also tried spiralizing some apple after it was peeled and it didn’t work perfectly but I got some that I was able to fry up quickly with cinnamon and sugar for a tasty snack. I also used it to peel sweet potatoes for dinner and it worked pretty good. Only problem was that they were old so the outer peels got a little papery and ended up clogging up the blade. But it was easy to pop apart and clean quickly. I washed the base spikes regularly so the sticky juice didn’t build up and make it harder to clean later. It’s very lightweight and I wonder how long it will last but I’m loving it right now, especially for the reasonable cost.

This tool is cheap and feels cheap. However, it did work well for about a year and reduced the workload in our kitchen. After a little over a year of household use, it appears that the motor has died.
It is fairly easy to use, although somewhat difficult to clean. Lots of food bits get stuck in the spikes, and the product some not appear to be watertight so it needs careful cleaning.
The peeler also leaves grooves in the flesh of the produce. Fine if you don’t care about appearances, but it can look strange if you’re aiming for good food presentation.

I love this! It is a kitchen toy that really gets some use and works! Works well, is fun to use, and replaces a hated job…peeling potatoes. i don’t recommend using on other fruits/vegetables, as least what I have tried, but for potatoes, this is great!

This works great!! It is so fast, I had a hard time getting a video for my grandkids! I can now make apple pies again!! (Have arthritis in hands. hand peeling too painful. )Combine this with a good apple corer-wedger and it is lickity split!!
works on potatoes too and other fruits and veggies! This is a must have!! Also comes with two extra blades which are stored in the bottom. so fun to watch!!My five siblings are getting them now!

it works just fine. The wire could burn out. Check the power numbers. I burned my wire, but it works with battery.

Who doesn’t love potatoes? I do but couldn’t bother with the hassle of peeling them. But this Starfrit Rotato is a handy tool that makes it easy to peel potatoes! It doesn’t take up much room, and it works just as promised. This amazing gadget is a must-have for the potato lover who doesn’t want to spend more time peeling the old-fashioned way.

Every year I go through POUNDS of apples making apple butter. I remember the old commercials for this thing but had never actually heard of anyone buying one. I just knew I had 30 lbs of apples to peal and even if this was a total waste of money I wouldn’t have lost anything – I just would have had to do it by hand. However, this was a great buy! It has a learning curve. The sharp blades glide across the apples and get the pealing done in no time! Worked very well to help those 30 lbs of apples be a minimal job! I marked down for the learning curve, and it does tend to dig into the apples a bit at times but overall I’d definitely buy again before doing another 30 lbs of anything!

Where to begin? It peels quickly. It is easy to use once you get the swing of it. It will require you cut or peel the ends, however, it speeds the process when you are peeling many of anything by a longshot. Peeled 15 potatoes in just a few minutes and the kids wanted to help with the ‘cool peeler’ 😉

Its very light plastic but it does its job very well. Plus its so easy to do. My wife did a whole 10lb bag at one time for some shindig. Its her favorite way to peel now.

Oh my gosh! I love this thing!!! You just pop a ‘tater on the stand and clamp it down and then watch the magic happen as a long curly peel is removed from the spud. I was so excited to watch this the first time and everytime since then is just as exciting. Maybe I’m just easily amused. I showed my mother-in-law how to use it and loaned it to her for a potato salad that she was making. When she brought it back she said it was too complicated and slow and she just peeled them by hand. I guess not everyone will love this, but I can’t rave enough about it!!
The top and bottom of the potato will have a bit of peel left on, but I just go over all of the ends with a knife when I finish peeling all of them. It’s still soooo much faster and easier on my hands than my old fashioned handheld peeler or even just a knife. Life changing!! Ok maybe not life changing, but definitely evidence of huge progress in kitchen innovation. I will report back on durability after I’ve had it a while. I’ve used it about 5 or 7 times and experienced no problems so far.

This is one of the best kitchen gadget that I’ve bought over the years that has completely shocked me. I have arthritis in both hands and wrists and I was dreading having to peel the potatoes. I saw this on the app and decided to give it a try, best decision I’ve ever made. My potatoes were peeled in just a few minutes with absolutely no hassle. I highly recommend this product to anyone that dreads pealing potatoes.

This really helps prevent me from peeling my fingers. It will not handle fruits and vegetables more than 3 or 4 inches in diameter. For example, it will not peel very large beets. Otherwise, it works well. You can also use this to make thin shoestring potatoes or zucchini by repeated peelings. It will not peel the very top and bottom of a fruit or vegetable.

This is absolutely amazing! It peels potatoes so fast and does an amazing job. I have arthritis so it makes it hard to peel potatoes.

My husband has been hand-peeling potatoes forever, so I got this for him as a gift. He was apprehensive at first, but as soon as I set it up and gave it a try it makes the entire potato peeling process go WAY faster!! When you set up the potato, read the instructions carefully to do it right. It does not peel the tip or the bottom tip, so you will have to hand-peel that yourself. The eyes on the potatoes or rough spots also are still there, so you still have to either hand-peel or cut them off afterwards.

Love this for peeling potatoes! Especially when peeling at at least 5 pounds for mashed potatoes. Still have to cut off the skin from the top and the bottom but makes peeling potatoes so much faster and safer.
Works great for my elderly and individuals with disabilities to have some independence in the kitchen.

Best purchase ever! I stopped peeling potatoes because of arthritis. This makes it so easy. All that has to be peeled, by hand, is the top and bottom. I havent tried it yet, but the way it peels the skins, I bet you can peel the rest of the potatoes the same way to make shoe string. I only wish I had this sooner however, its just in time for peeling 10 lbs for Easter.
