Anytime someone can take an old item and upcycle it to keep it out of a landfill, I’m in. This recycled CPU processor turned into a keychain is brilliant. It’s polished to a shine, and possibly lightly sanded, so there are no sharp edges. They even kept the original markings. The CPU is 1.5”x1.5” with a 1” chain and 1” split ring. The 2 larger jump rings that attach to the CPU pendant and the split ring are pretty soft and opened up when I gave them a light tug, so I wouldn’t suggest putting a lot of keys on the split ring. The 4 twisted cable chain links between the jump rings feel secure and add visual interest.
This is a great idea and would make any gadget geek happy, but for $35 I think they should upgrade the quality of the 2 jump rings. Other than that, it’s a unique gift worth giving.

I use this for my backpack and it makes it look stylish. I sometimes use it to cut boxes like a box cutter. Amazing if you are a computer geek, and a must have. (Doesn’t work if you try to put it on a motherboard obviously)

Decided to use this as a necklace after I noticed a tech youtuber wearing something similar. It’s a cool conversation starter and people are surprised to learn a bit about computers and that old or dead tech can be reclaimed this way. The exact CPU model was removed from the heat sink but from what I can determine, mine is either an old i3 or i5 CPU, possible from 10 or more years ago.

As described and even better. This is beautiful piece of Art. I’m not a computer “guru” but I love tech and this chip, placed creatively on key ring, is mesmerising. I decided to put it into wallet so I don’t damage it on keys as I have my keys all over the place. I get in to get a card, I see it. Someone mentioned they use it as a necklace, I loved the idea, might use it that way too. Now I am thinking who are computer “gurus” that I know to order more and gift one as well. This one is mine! Thank you. Love it!
