Duvet cover arrived vacuum sealed in strong plastic. While I don’t like excessive plastic packaging, I do appreciate safe packaging to avoid dirt/bug infestation. Working in international transportation I am well aware how expensive & toxic fumigation of affected materials is. Thank you EMME for caring.
After unpacking I turned the cover & pillow cases inside out and washed it in cold water, delicate setting, with detergent for delicates. No “fur”residue remained in the washing machine.
While it takes a lot longer to dry this cover on delicate, it insures wonderful fluffiness & longevity of the duvet. I dried it as is (inside out) with tennis balls for about 40 minutes, afterwards turned it inside in for additional 40 minutes. The result was a wonderful soft, fluffy duvet cover & pillow cases. Shedding/lint was minimal.
Any synthetics dried on high heat will result in “hot spots” of plastic-like material. In case of faux fur and/or velvet like materials it can burn the “hair”, resulting in ugly plastic lumps.
Considering the thickness of the cover, it’s lightweight & easy to handle. On warmer nights it could be used as a blanket without insert.
The colors are beautiful as shown online, the fur is dense and the “bubbles” on the front make it look exquisit. The back has wonderful soft velvet-like material in a color I call “latte”.
The manufacturer used extra care to make this product as consumer friendly as possible: cotton ties in each corner ensure the insert stays put (synthetic ties open easily & the insert will shift), the covered zipper is sturdy and a couple of inches away from the “fur” so it will not snag. Even the pillow cases have covered zippers, again away from the fur!
If you have kids and/or pets, the tie-dye is very forgiving!
Frankly, I haven’t seen this much care, quality at the extra expense for the manufacturer in duvet covers double the price! It takes more materials, extra sewing while others just sew zippers at the bottom & make envelope style pillow cases.

I was skeptical at first and wondered how it might wash. But it held up true to the description. I washed in cold and only air dried shaking the comforter first before putting it in the dryer. It washed well and is super comfortable. I read in the reviews people said it was to light weight but any thick comforter will work. Mines weighted and heavy and makes the duvet thick and heavy. I bought this to go with my new Christmas sheets and it will add the bit of snow I was looking for to complete the look. Also the under side of the comforter is velvety soft. I wondered if it wold be cheap on the other side and I wasn’t disappointed. It kept me extra warm and snuggly in the night. I absolutely love it and I’m so happy I didn’t listen to the one star reviews. The price was right as any plain duvet would be about 60 bucks. I feel as if I got a good deal! Don’t miss out on yours!

Duvet cover arrived vacuum sealed in strong plastic. While I don’t like excessive plastic packaging, I do appreciate safe packaging to avoid dirt/bug infestation. Working in international transportation I am well aware how expensive & toxic fumigation of affected materials is. Thank you EMME for caring.
After unpacking I turned the cover & pillow cases inside out and washed it in cold water, delicate setting, with detergent for delicates. No “fur”residue remained in the washing machine.
While it takes a lot longer to dry this cover on delicate, it insures wonderful fluffiness & longevity of the duvet. I dried it as is (inside out) with tennis balls for about 40 minutes, afterwards turned it inside in for additional 40 minutes. The result was a wonderful soft, fluffy duvet cover & pillow cases. Shedding/lint was minimal.
Any synthetics dried on high heat will result in “hot spots” of plastic-like material. In case of faux fur and/or velvet like materials it can burn the “hair”, resulting in ugly plastic lumps.
Considering the thickness of the cover, it’s lightweight & easy to handle. On warmer nights it could be used as a blanket without insert.
The colors are beautiful as shown online, the fur is dense and the “bubbles” on the front make it look exquisit. The back has wonderful soft velvet-like material in a color I call “latte”.
The manufacturer used extra care to make this product as consumer friendly as possible: cotton ties in each corner ensure the insert stays put (synthetic ties open easily & the insert will shift), the covered zipper is sturdy and a couple of inches away from the “fur” so it will not snag. Even the pillow cases have covered zippers, again away from the fur!
If you have kids and/or pets, the tie-dye is very forgiving!
Frankly, I haven’t seen this much care, quality at the extra expense for the manufacturer in duvet covers double the price! It takes more materials, extra sewing while others just sew zippers at the bottom & make envelope style pillow cases.

I bought this comforter because it looked fluffy. It is very soft, but it’s extremely thin and it looks more grassy. I’m not sending it back, but I’m also not thrilled with it.
